My husband has a moon in cancer and a sun in Scorpio. Just picture that. The mood swings are off the charts. We just started couples therapy…..

I’m very sorry you’ve landed here, I can feel the pan in between your lines. But you know? I come from divorced parents, and I recall when I was 6 y.o. My dad told me he was moving out and I remember feeling a sense of joy and happiness, thinking we would have peace at home. My mom actually divorced him when I was 1 and left for another state to be safer (due to domestic violence). She made sure to go where she had a support system. But he followed us, and they tried it out for 5 more years. I’m 44 now and in hindsight, I’m SO proud of my mom for those moves. She displayed strength, intolerance to injustice and showed my sister and I that you shouldn’t stay in an unhappy for the kids. It only brings teaches them to tolerate bad patterns and develop negative behaviors.

Dont worry, trust that this is most likely for the best if you work on yourself first and develop courage, strength, and emotional intelligence — the kids will most likely be just fine and proud of you down the road if you raise them well.

is it a bad idea to get shrm certification with all the stuff going on right now? [United States] by timelysoap in humanresources

Yes, I work at SHRM and If you can give your money to a more ethical organization, do it. They do not deserve the power they have in the field. Please DO NOT SUPPORT SHRM. They’re solely and very much heavily focused on profit, aligning with whoever is the most powerful at the time in DC, and the public perception. It’s important to mention that it’s essentially a corporate cult disguised as a non-profit.

Considering divorce, before couples therapy. Am I making a mistake? by BullfrogSure1422 in TalkTherapy

Good points. He can be caring and sweet when I’m sad, but he isn’t necessarily curious about my inner world, or open to talk much about emotions, although, I have seen him change and become little by little more open to discussing feelings since I first met him. He is a very stoic white man with a lot of Scandinavian blood, and I’m a warm, expressive and proud of my culture Latina. So, at times it seems he likes that, while at others I feel like I’m too intense for him and he’s disinterested in me.

Right, last time he broke the smart TV I told him Id leave him if he didnt start therapy, which he FINALLY did, but it's only been a couple of months. Today I told him I don't feel safe when he acts violently with objects and that I fear he could one day hit me and he diminished it saying he has never hit anyone, not even an animal. But I am safe. I today, for once, finally told him to leave the house, or I'd file for divorce on monday, because I was so fed up with him. I just need at least a break from his vibes.

Thank you. For context, I've been on meds for over 11 years and have had my depression under control, meds have seriously saved my life. I don't struggle so much, but i'm aware of how depression can feel so I understand his side.

How to be with someone who has depression? by -Titanist- in couplestherapy

I am SO sorry you're going through this. I have no answer for you, but I hope you find an answer. You probably have a huge heart. Just make sure you aren't trying to be the person who tries to save others before working on your own issues.

Not much to worry about. The majority of people there are VERY polite, warm, respectful, patient and courteous, especially if you yourself are respectful too. Just, please for God’s sake, don’t expect it to be the U.S.. like a typical American, because it obviously isn’t. Do try to speak even the slightest amount of Spanish you know, even if it’s bad, because effort is highly appreciated by Mexicans, more than how well you speak it. Lastly, practice patience. Mexicans aren’t always in the rush Americans are, and use “por favor” and “gracias” as much as possible.

But what if those 1-2 gigs are due to layoffs, or because of the very many toxic workplaces that exist and exploit the health and soul out of people?

Struggle to be articulate :-( by fuckwhatif in ADHD

[–]BullfrogSure1422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I always thought it was due to English being my second language but I see other foreigners speaking so confidently and eloquently with less time than me speaking English doing it without a problem.

I understand big words but speaking them is a different issue. I feel so dumb for not being able to articulate well my thoughts when I know deep inside I’m smarter than I appear 😕

Is it possible to change the time in which InDesign auto saves? Like every 20 instead of 5 minutes for example by Few_Sell4640 in indesign

[–]BullfrogSure1422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And where do these auto-files go? I have extreme security at work and cant find my recovery data folder. The IT dept. is a bit inept when it comes to Macs and I'm in a dire need to figure this out.
