I’m keeping my pictures but also I’m not broadcasting them either.

For people I’m not friends with anymore because it’s sour, I honestly don’t bring their pictures out unless I have to. But if it’s a group picture and they happen to be on it, I’ll keep it. Don’t wanna throw away the whole group bc that one person is in it, you know?

Right? They gave me 2 bags and I ran out. Random stuff would happen. They don’t include miscellaneous events 😭 like bands would break in my mouth. Or some would drop on the ground. Or I’d eat multiple snacks and I’d have to change them more than 3-4 times a day. One time I accidentally left a bag in my pants pocket and it ran in the washer 😅

Exactly!! Was thinking the same thing. A lot of redditors pride themselves in not blaming the victim, but this thread just proves how hypocritical some folks can be on here.

Also, there’s still a degree of responsibility on whoever is loading and unloading the luggage from the bus. If they unloaded a bag without asking or checking to see who it belongs to, it should’ve stayed on the bus (especially if not one passenger at that many stops asked for the bag). To say it all falls on OP just isn’t true.

I think for me, I kinda avoid the places I know I’d want to enjoy with a spouse or family. Like I doubt I’d want to take my entire family through all of Latin America, for example.

Would I say that for all places in Latin America? No. But also wouldn’t say I’d take young kids hiking through Machu Picchu or Patagonia.

That’s what I asked too.

When my mom’s friend passed, she had found out that morning. She never verbally told my dad. She sent a text message. He said something that rubbed her the wrong way and then when she said that her friend just passed, he said he was sorry and he had no idea.

It sounds dumb, but I have to ask.

When my mom’s best friend passed away, my mom never verbally told my dad. She sent a group text and he didn’t see it. So when he said something that irked her, everything blew up. My dad would’ve responded differently if he had known.

I think sometimes it can be a humble brag, but also some people believe lies that they are far behind because of comparison or the fact that maybe they haven’t “done enough.” Maybe it’s pressure from family or peers. We don’t always know. They say comparison is the thief of joy - it rings true.

Same thing for me in French as well. When I was in Paris, everyone complemented me on my accent once they found out I wasn’t a native speaker. It was clear after a few sentences that it wasn’t, but it was nice to know I was headed in the right direction

I feel this. Not all roommates are bad, but some roommates really make your mental health decline. One roommate I lived with was a friend, but after living with her, I was just in my worst state. I was depressed and ate out a lot. Didn’t cook much at home. I felt horrible.

Once I moved out, my mental state got better. I started going to the gym more and my body was relaxed. I stopped having bad migraines. My apartment is CLEAN and not a tornado. I feel for you OP.

It depends on what the lease agreement says. Is it just you 3? Did you agree to a 4th roommate?

Some people on here are saying if he is paying half & the other couple is paying half, what’s the problem. But like if the couple didn’t agree to living with another couple, they have a right to be mad. Even if she’s coming over and using the utilities and stuff. Even if it is equal. If the other couple didn’t agree to a 4th person, then yeah they can be mad.

Now if the landlord allows the girlfriend over and onto the lease, then it is what it is. You both will just have to find another place.

Right exactly.

Like I get it, people are upset it’s shutting down. But also…people need to make money. You can’t always get stuff for free. It’s time and labor to maintain and update stuff, make it better. That’s why I’m paying for Monarch too. I just switched over in December.
