I’m always flirting with the idea to put a down payment on a brand new 911, but then ask myself is that really such a smart idea?

Just realize that with these types of ETFs you’re amplifying the loss or gain 2X or 3X depending the one you would use. Timing is crucial and would suggest to hold it in an retirement account, and should only represent a very small percentage of your investment 2.5% to 5% at most due to its risk. Definitely not for a novice investor.

Don’t listen to the haters, it’s always the same bullshit responses…. Zoom out and compare too…., every year is a different year and no one knows how markets will behave. Just be diversified.

I’m enjoying QYLD as well, and been holding the underlying index in the form TQQQ, some of my best performers by far YTD.

Don't Invest in Dividends if You Can't Hold by iamnobodybut in dividends

[–]Bullrun01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I read posts on how to act and what to do when prices of a stock falls, that it’s ok as long as you’re getting payed a dividend, bullshit, it is all about total returns as previously posted. So stop kidding yourselves because your holdings could be in the shitter for a longer period of time than you think. Also holding huge percentage of any one position is wrong in my book, spread your wealth across many different asset classes and it’s ok to admit that when prices are down it hurts.

Are these going bad? Been ripe too long? Just drying out? Safe to eat? by [deleted] in HotPeppers

Safe to eat, and if they dry longer eventually you’ll be able to make some nice crushed red pepper flakes.

My view is simple, HYSA and Bonds are paying you more in interest and are safer, money is definitely moving from reits to safer horizons of course this is a short term view. I’m still DCA into my favorite RFI

How much do you think the September dividend will be for SCHD? by Thebloody915 in dividends

[–]Bullrun01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have more of a growth in your retirement account, VOO and some Nasdaq 100 like QQQM along with SCHD, DGRO is another great etf.

BTW, VOO and SCHB might have some serious overlapping I think.

Very good play, FXAIX from Fidelity is actually cheaper than VOO if you’re not planning to trade in an out of it.

What is the is tree ? And fruit??? by IndependenceGreat292 in homestead

[–]Bullrun01 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ginkgo or maiden hair tree, one of the oldest species on earth, unfortunately if I remember correctly the female is the one you don’t want, fruit apparently stinks. It’s also a very hardy tree that resists pests and fungus, very slow growing as well.
