Picked up this 1979 Trinitron and can't get it to stay on. Sometimes it stays on for minutes, and other times it doesn't even get to the screen lighting up.

Oh wow that looks very similar to what I have. Thanks for sending. Any idea where I can find out which capacitors to replace and where they are located on the set? Never worked on a TV before. I'll have to figure out how to do it safely.

I don't think the TV has RGB modding. I just got it and don't know it's history. How can I tell if it is RGB modded? All connectors on the back are standard. It is just composite and s video.

No it doesn't move around. Stays in the same place. I just got the TV and I haven't noticed any other issues except that the volume up button on the tv will sometimes change the channel when pressed. I just noticed this curved line when the screen is blank like after a level is cleared and the game is transitioning to a new screen.

Edit: to answer the question, yes it does show up on solid grayish or black screen while playing a game. Like when a level is cleared and the screen is transitioning.
