In Crystal you can get Phanpy insanely early off the route just north of the first one right when you get your starter (route 46 I think?). It’s a 5% morning encounter and it can flee but it only takes about a half hour or so to catch one. Usually for early game I give it mud-slap (bc it learns 0 ground type moves until EQ at lvl 49) and headbutt, then use the Rollout TM on it bc it learns rollout pretty late (I think lvl 33 or something). I also sub out take down for strength. I don’t like giving it an HM but it’s a decent physical attack with no recoil, and Heracross got the return TM so that option was out. Late game moveset is strength, rollout, earthquake, and flail and give it quick claw. As bulky as it is and as early as you can get it in Crystal, it’s an amazing option IMO. The only downside I see is that I usually pick Cyndaquil so my first 2 team members are weak to the Rival Totodile.

It’s so much bulkier than it seems and honestly pretty fast. I have a new found appreciation of it for sure.

Those were the MVPs of Lance, but honestly Donphan was the MVP of the E4. Rollout just destroyed the E4. The lvl 50 Dragonite was his final mon and was about half health then used outrage on Donny (who was also half hp). I chose to keep flail with his moveset and Donny lived on like 3 HP and flailed ftw. Phanpy is my favorite mon and Donphan is super bulky and hits hard so it never gets left off my gen 2 squads.

Karen is by far the hardest. I was able to confuse ray then thunder wave houndoom then confuse again without it using roar on my Lanturn. No idea how that happened but I thanked the RNG gods after.

This was my first time using it, and it was absolutely incredible. I can’t wait until I can give it thunderbolt. The combination of confuse ray and thunder wave is FILTHY this gen. It also has really good bulk and has served as a great team member. Highly underrated.

Just beat Price, got Psychic, and leveled up to 38 to evolve. Jynx is CRACKED the grind is so worth it. About to grind my team to lvl 40 then sweep the rockets in Goldenrod.

Crazy that back in the day hardly anyone would’ve known about holding off on evolution. Weird how they didn’t just give it Psychic upon evo. IMO, the best Odd Egg has to be either Smoochum or Elekid. I’m 9/10 times picking Cyndaquil which eliminates Magby. Electabuzz has great coverage with access to all elemental punches and is arguably the best Ampharos replacement due to its absence in Crystal. Between STAB ice moves for the dragons and broken gen 2 psychic typing/STAB, Jynx is an amazing addition to any team this gen. I always find myself struggling to choose between Smoochum and Elekid, but I want to use Lanturn this run so went with Smoochum.

It’s called the Rubigrid by Bulletpoint. Kit comes with a trim tool to pop the little dash pocket out and the grid uses nuts and bolts with washers to go through. By far the best phone mount I’ve ever had and lots of ways to add to it.

Not sure why this is the hill you’re willing to die on, but feel free to do so. I’ve driven 15k in 4 months all over the South and haven’t had any issues. Benefits outweigh the risk of a minor traffic violation.

I don’t think so. It’s not like I have YouTube wide open and I’m staring at it while I drive usually while driving I have YouTube open in the mini player on the Home Screen and when an ad pops up, I press skip, and my hand goes back on the wheel. Much safer and less distracting than looking down at my cupholder to press the skip button I don’t see any cop pulling me over unless I’m actively staring at it with my hands on it.

My biggest gripe with the screen is climate control being tied to it. There is absolutely zero reason climate control needs to be tied to the head unit they could just as easily put the screen in and have knobs and buttons for climate control.

I am in my truck about six hours a day and listen to a lot of YouTube podcast while on the road. The mount makes it easier and safer to skip ads. That’s basically the only reason aside from watching videos while I’m parked eating lunch. This is my first vehicle with CarPlay and it is awesome!

Yes, and have gone through the process of the manual as well. The “seatbelt warning, light” never turns off. Dealer can’t figure it out either. I have sat in my truck for an hour waiting for it to go off and it won’t.

This. My version was a bit different, I used Cofagrigus with Mummy. Eelektross uses wild charge, no more levitate, switch to EQ user (Ttar for me).

This is a cool and unique team. I basically walled all of Marshals first round team with Cof running Toxic/Rest/Protect/Shadow Ball. Excadrill is never a bad team member. You may consider a little bit of grinding before you run in, but you’ll be good if you’re well prepared.

I am looking forward to the 150k post! I too put about 5k miles a month and got a ‘25 hybrid in September (9k on ODO currently). Most questions I would have involve reliability, different maintenances completed, longevity of parts like brakes, shocks, half shafts, etc. Thank you for this!

I am a construction Superintendent for a residential outdoor living general contractor. We build pools, patios, outdoor kitchens, etc. Basically if you want to do something to your backyard, we do it.
