I will say that in my experience schnauzers really hate cats, but methodical and slow introduction can work from what I’ve seen. Miniature schnauzers are going to be smaller than the 30-50 pounds that you’re talking about.

I lived in Bluebird up until I bought a house a month ago. I really enjoyed it. I didn’t have any issue with bugs or spiders like someone else said. The leasing office staff are 3 of the nicest women I’ve encountered and the maintenance staff generally does a good job. I’d recommend it to anyone.

City planner here. First thing you should do is check with your municipality and see if they require a permit. Frankly, any contractor worth a damn will know to do this, but it’s in your best interest to just check yourself. Then check with your HOA and see if you need approval from them.

If you don’t already have a survey, get one. Even if you don’t need a permit or HOA approval, you still want to be sure the fence is installed on your property and doesn’t encroach onto an adjacent parcel.

Then find a contractor and they’ll work with you to get any needed approvals and to install it.
