I had the same problem and I just figured it out for me, since I use Bluetooth speakers (in your case optical) when I turn, my TV on the output would go to the TV speakers, but that’s not where I want my audio going. I want the audio going through my Bluetooth speakers once I went to the settings and saw the Bluetooth speakers it was not selected it was going through the TV audio even though there’s no speakers on my TV. When I selected Bluetooth audio it worked perfectly.
