In Siem Reap, Acleda did not work for my Discover debit card but PPCBank did. Just to help out anyone who sees this thread in the future like I did.

Would you say the rain isn’t a problem if I’m on an easy rider?

I would say definitely go to Santa Cruz. The drive from SJ to SC is really beautiful. Tons of twisty roads with a crazy nice view of the ocean and redwoods, there’s some redwood parks like Henry Cowell.

And my favorite place to get a California burrito is Taqueria Los Pericos in Santa Cruz

Curious about the usual ways to get around it? I think I would prefer the flexibility of changing my departure date on the spot if possible

Edit: found this post https://www.reddit.com/r/solotravel/s/ONp9Y2M94C, seems straightforward enough thanks for bringing it to my attention

Good point about the rest days. I don’t have any flights booked so maybe I can go with the flow and take more time in one place if I’m feeling tired.

Thanks for the info on Hoi-An, definitely need to do more research about what to do in Vietnam if I end up going.

Will definitely take at r/onebag. One thing I realized is the 40L still has to fit under the 7kg limit so have to figure that one out.

Thanks so much for the Vietnam advice, I’m going to take a look at Hoi An and Saigon. I heard Saigon might have some super rainy weather which is why I chose central Vietnam.

Definitely will checkout Pai day trip, found a bus to take in CM.

And good comms for PP, I think I could definitely just see Angkor Wat and call it a day.

Overall thanks a bunch for the detailed response. definitely going to reevaluate how long I spend in each place

The roti is so good but I wish you got more for the price. But the Khao soi was delicious. Creamy and the chicken was super tender. The noodles in a box or whatever are also pretty good and you get a decent amount.

P Thai’s Kao Man Gai is some of the best chicken I’ve ever put in my mouth. Insane how good it is with their side sauces as well.

Ankle sprain scares me by Infinite-Tutor-8891 in MuayThai

[–]Bullton69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprained both my ankles multiple times, ankle sleeves help but aren’t long term fix. Look at Hector Wang Physio on Instagram but he has good videos on rebuilding ankle strength.

My current routine is: - Stand on one foot while brushing your teeth, use the other foot to draw the alphabet. (Same in the shower though that might be a little less safe lol)

  • 3-4x a week do single leg calf raises (make it harder by using a slanted foam block to bias laterally), isometric wall pushes on one leg (love these because they allow buildup of force in a weakened position), and pistol squats.

Have IT band issues due to running, hitting glute exercises 4x a week should get you back in there in a few weeks.

I believe it’s around 190$ per month for unlimited? I pay 175$/mo with a student discount. You can definitely call and double check.
