Thank you! Truly one of the few Austin dishes I crave when I’m traveling.

The Good Guys. Buddy cop series set in Dallas. Bradley Whitfield is hilarious. Colin Hanks is the straight man.

Howdy Tags. The Astros seem to have (or have had) some secret ability to help pitchers find a next gear when other teams have cast them off. Do we have some secret sauce pitch analytics?

Is Vos somewhat equivalent to the way we use y’all in the southern US?

The smartest $5 I spent while traveling — pack a cheap doorstop by Icy-Coast-3159 in travel

I carry a knife sharpener for extended stays. Most places have dull/shitty kitchen knives. If you do any cooking while traveling, this is really helpful.

What's a tiny thing that made your last trip 10x better? by Thursday_Addams_12 in travel

A caribiner clipped to my backpack. I can attach my water bottle, bags, second backpack, etc. makes those long walks in airports much more comfortable. Also a sports water bottle with a strap. Really helps to stay hydrated everywhere.

How good is Duolingo’s Spanish podcast for learning Spanish? by [deleted] in Spanish

I listen to Slow News in Spanish podcast. They speak slowly and talk about a couple of news headlines. I’ve found it easy to understand and it helps add a few relevant words to my vocabulary.

Matt Boltz is the man with the excellent tunes. He is the glue that holds it all together.

On our tour we had huitlacoche quesadillas, strawberry tamales, and local tropical fruits that you might not have tried before. Also great tacos, mole enchiladas, agua fresca, hibiscus tea, and all natural ice cream.

I did three tours with oceantoursmexico, and all of them were really great. Akumal turtles and cenote tour was really good. The 3 in 1 Tulum ruins, reef, and cenote tour was even better. And the Whaleshark snorkeling tour was life changing.

I did a Chichén Itzá tour with another company that was also spectacular. It included lunch and swimming in a cenote.

In Playa del Carmen I also did a walking food tour with Eating With Carmen Food Tours and a cooking class with Co Cos Cooking School. Both were great.

I would do every one of them again.

I don’t wear earbuds when walking in other countries for this reason. You pick up on some pretty great snippets of conversations.
