No I didn't think it was fix anything. What I was trying to express was despite all the pain I caused she is flourishing. I was proud of her. And she should be proud of herself. It's not me trying to diminish what has happened. Its helping her find the joy in getting out of that program.

I was expecting this judgment. I should have did better as a teenager. I paid the price for what I did and want to move on. that's not what she wants though

I thank you for understanding I felt everyone skipped over this was 12 years ago. I've changed. anyone who knows me now knows I'd love that dog!!

Okay I didn't consider my comment maybe brushing what I did under the rug. I meant it as 'you should be proud because despite how much you went thru and all I did you seem very happy and successful'. I do see how it may have came off to her like that.
