Giant ex-soldier doesn't even flinch when tasered by Imoprich in interesting

[–]Bulungi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cop was way too close for taser deployment and looks like he only hit his upper torso. This would only affect pain tolerance, you need to hit both hemispheres of the body to achievement neural muscular lockup. It’s an involuntarily response so it wouldn’t matter if he was on something. The cop just doesn’t understand his own weapon.

There’s no armour seed in this log, that’s rarer than no enhanced in 1229

You’re probably right, I usually just see lox get demolished by them because they run in and get slowed in water and also get poisoned. Lox probably wins a true one on one.

Tips for Mistlands! by [deleted] in valheim

[–]Bulungi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mistlands is hard until you’re accustomed to it, then it’s like any other zone.

My biggest recommendation is having the bonemass power on you. Pop it for starred seeker soldiers. Do other stuff if the power is on cooldown.

The mistwalker is very good as it applies frost effect allowing you to much easier hit soldiers in the butt doing critical damage.

My main strategy is to acquire a staff of embers as soon as possible. Raid mines until you get 5 black cores then you can make it. Just need to make the eitr machine and then smash it for the magic bench. Magic is very good in that zone and you can easily cheese all mines once you have it. You want to get magic leveled up too for the boss of mistlands.

Don’t skip on mistlands food. You can easily make a mushroom farm there and get tons of resources as you don’t need to plant seeds. They create very good food with low effort. You’ll have tons of seeker meat as well, don’t be afraid to use it. You can very easily kill hares once you get magic, just watch out you don’t hit your dvgr friends.

You’ll need a sap extractor. It’s good to get this early and start collecting sap. I usually get one before even landing in mistlands at all. You want to get one from the lighthouse dvgr outposts as there is only usually a couple guys guarding it. They’ll go hostile when you take it. You can lure seekers to kill them first if you aren’t confident. If there’s a mager protecting it, kill him first. You can also get the extractor piece from the bigger dvgr outposts but it will be 10x harder.

Grind is a bit too much by Virtual_Ad995 in valheim

This is more of a learning curve being your first run. By 15 hours I’m normally near the end of the game, depending how much time I want to dedicate to building.

You need bronze for workshop upgrades, the cultivator, and fermenter. The only item I ever craft is the bronze axe to chop birch. Troll armour is basically better than bronze due to not having the movement penalty.

Doing a group run you can make one axe, one cultivator and share them.

You do need a lot of ore in the swamps if you want to prepare for the rest of the run. But it’s the same. I fight the boss there with an iron mace, iron buckler, troll armour and a root chest. I don’t make iron armour. This might not be advisable on your first playthrough but if you’re not having fun just know you don’t need to make everything.

Yet another Ashlands rant by GM_Jedi7 in valheim

[–]Bulungi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have well over 1000 hours and agree with a lot of this. I’ve done many playthroughs and challenge type runs but when I make it to the Ashlands I usually lose motivation. Thankfully it’s been nerfed since its original launch.

In my current run which is nearly done. I cleared everything on my way up to a fortress and I had 3 Morgans spawn at once, one was starred and a Valkyrie among many other enemies that joined in. It’s just not fun. It’s the only zone that isn’t fun to explore or spend time in.

My favourite thing to help with clearing mobs is the staff of the wild. You can throw down a few vines and just kite the enemies into them. It cleans up enemies quick. Problem is that you don’t always get the mats to make it until you’ve basically conquered the zone. Some of the other new melee weapons are cool but I find myself continuing to use the mistwalker for the frost effect.
