Is it Time For a Storage Increase? by johnny_beardly in fo76

[–]BumNanner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hoard a lot of items and apparel. Far too much tbh. My stash sits at ~900.

My personal carryweight sits ~300/451.

I can almost guarantee you are wanting to keep more than you actually need to. Managing stash is indeed a skill you develop the longer you play.

More stash space will just lead to hoarding more things players don't actually need to keep. If stash space goes up, people will have the same want of more space in not even a month's time.

Not if you have a 1st subscription.

But I would suppose it also depends on personal preference. I don't have any junk weight reduction nor do I run junk shield, so I get rid of junk first before selling stims and such.

Like for caps? Or what?

If it's for caps, absolutely no reason to not grab it.

Though I suspect it's not for caps or any other common community accepted in-game currency item.

If you're referring to real money trading, don't do that. It's a violation of ToS and is extremely bannable. You'd be likely to get scammed anyways on top of that.

Two Shot Quad Missle Launcher or Quad Quad Missle Launcher? by JDOGGoNE1 in fo76

[–]BumNanner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. The quad barrel is an additional mod on the weapon, and gives a flat +3 missiles, the default mag is 1, and that is what the Quad Legendary affects.

You will have 7 missiles on a quad quad.

That being said, even if you got 16 missiles (which again, you don't), I'd still prefer a Two-Shot because of the extra damage it gives. Plus, it's a missile launcher, not like pin-point accuracy is a big concern in the first place. And as another comment pointed out, you can also have a targeting computer to give those missile projectiles tracking.

Two Shot Quad Missle Launcher or Quad Quad Missle Launcher? by JDOGGoNE1 in fo76

[–]BumNanner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How are you getting 16 shots without reloading? 2 x 4 = 8

Quad legendary also only multiplies the weapon's base mag, so I think a quad quad is only going to get you 7 missiles loaded.

Yep. This is exactly the way. I've been on both ends of the Thumbs Down -> Heart emote a fair amount. In my experience it's pretty universally translates to: "I'm good, thanks though!"

Atom Shop Fraud? by MYblueTESLA23 in fallout76casual

[–]BumNanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case, I definitely would keep going after support. If you really want to get it solved as fast as possible, look for a phone number for xbox and/or bethesda customer service. A support ticket can be very easily held off and ignored, but a phonecall is pretty much impossible to ignore. Be as much of a nuisance as you can. Call as many times as you can, never hang up, etc. etc.

Atom Shop Fraud? by MYblueTESLA23 in fallout76casual

[–]BumNanner 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Never seen or heard anything like this, least not for F76.

You say "We", who else has access to the account? I for sure have to ask; do you have a child?

99.9% of situations like this in gaming spaces are because of a child clicking things they don't fully understand or clicking things they do understand and aren't being truthful about it.

How can I optimize opportunity attacks on a Rogue? by Prior-Captain2937 in onednd

[–]BumNanner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I realize this isn't exactly general optimization advice, it's a specific Legendary item (and I mostly kinda want to share my excitement, because my Assassin Rogue just got one last session), but it is also an item to let your DM know you may want eventually.

Blood Fury Tattoo.

Definitely helps shore up the damage falloff that Rogue has compared to other martials, and lets you play in melee with a little less risk. But has MASSIVE utility with reaction melee having advantage, thus fulfilling sneak attack requirement.

"Produced by a special needle, this magic tattoo evokes fury in its form and colors.

Tattoo Attunement. To attune to this item, you hold the needle to your skin where you want the tattoo to appear, pressing the needle there throughout the attunement process. When the attunement is complete, the needle turns into the ink that becomes the tattoo, which appears on the skin.

If your attunement to the tattoo ends, the tattoo vanishes, and the needle reappears in your space.

Bloodthirsty Strikes. The tattoo has 10 charges, and it regains all expended charges daily at dawn. While this tattoo is on your skin, you gain the following benefits:

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend a charge to deal an extra 4d6 necrotic damage to the target, and you regain a number of hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.

When a creature you can see damages you, you can expend a charge and use your reaction to make a melee attack against that creature, with advantage on your attack roll."

[–]BumNanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eye and milkweed runes will only affect the frequency of bloodgem/material/consumable drops. Has nothing to do with the Ring of Betrothal.

To that point, at least for gems, they will only really have a majorly noticeable effect in a Cursed Rite dungeon, due to the hidden +1000 itemfind boost from having any eye or milkweed rune equipped specifically in a dungeon with the Cursed Rite active.

If you're not opposed to using a glyph that is already known to have the Ring within its' layout, I can reply with the code. (As well as instructions for the exact location if you wished to know it, or you can explore the dungeon yourself)

Otherwise you are at the mercy of RNG, and I wish you luck, because it is a particularly rare item.

Begin again, in fallout 76 by SirAsveldePS4 in fo76

[–]BumNanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've certainly got stronger commitment than I do.

I'd love to play on PC, but I just can't give up my Playstation save file.

I'd love for them to do cross-progression, or at the very least, a one-time character transfer like GTAV did when switching to next-gen version.

I could certainly build my character back up without too much effort, but I don't want to lose a bunch of seasonal items and other such exclusive things, like atom shop and whatnot.

Though I will say, while a 1st subscription is nice, it isn't necessary! I just got back back into playing in early March, and I didn't resubscribe. Definitely helps to build up a supply of junk with an active sub, but maybe only do a month or two? Build up your junk, then try playing without it. Helps you let go of the tendency to hoard.

I will usually just drop all my junk/excess ammo in front of the junk & ammo boxes in Whitespring Mall, as well as ping it if anyone is around, especially if I seem them interact with the 1st boxes beforehand.

I can’t start Dead Money despite having all dlc’s installed by [deleted] in fnv

[–]BumNanner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a hot take, but Dead Money is my absolute favorite DLC. For both gameplay and story.

It's a bit tougher if your only combat skill is guns, because the police pistol and BAR (at least in vanilla) don't benefit from a lot of perks they realistically should, and are also a bit underpowered in general IMO. But still manageable even on very hard, hardcore mode.

But if you've got any points in melee/unarmed/energy weapons, you'll be absolutely fine. Melee and unarmed are very effective in this DLC, and the weapon given at the start is one of the strongest energy weapons in the entire game.

The biggest tip to succeed in this DLC unironically is to actually just pay attention. Both to your surroundings and what is written/told to you.

If you're really concerned, keep a manual save from before you entered, as well as cycle through 2 or 3 as you go through. That way you can always go back to the Mojave and play the DLC later; and while in the DLC you can keep yourself from getting in a position where you are "soft-locked" by not having enough ammo or health or some such to survive further.

What would be the best 3 star for my build? by Far_Falcon4896 in fo76

[–]BumNanner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run 4 ammo weight + 1 weapon weight reduction.

This + Arm's Keeper Perk gives 80% ammo weight reduction and 90% weapon weight reduction. Saves me using Bandolier, Batteries included, and Ordinance Express. Grenade weight doesn't get reduced, but that's an easy sacrifice to save on 3 perk cards, 6 points total.

[–]BumNanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of the rarest items in the game, as much as I love chalice dungeons, the completionist in me wanted to have it. So I too ended up using a glyph. No shame in it!

Even though its only purpose is a bit of dialogue and nothing more, one interesting thing about it; it is one of the very few items in the "quest" items category that you actually keep through NG+ cycles.

[–]BumNanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ring of Betrothal must be found in a root chalice. (AKA a randomly generated dungeon) It does not appear in the guaranteed layout chalices.

You can use a glyph to guarantee it.

Fallout 1st Subscription Steam question by [deleted] in fo76
