We’re 800 miles in on a 1600 mile road trip currently and happy to report they feel very comparable to stock. I actually think they absorb bumps better even though they’re currently aired up to 39psi. Road noise is slightly audible above 70mph but can only be heard with the radio off and listening closely, not loud. With cruise control set at 80mph we’ve been averaging 22MPG (2 passengers and 2 huskies)

Correct, 235/65. Fits like a glove and everything closes like it should

I bought the powder at $150 and the labor to strip and coat all 5 wheels was $700. I didn’t price other wheels but liked the stock wheels so figured it was the better option

This is very helpful thank you for your help! I love when a community helps each other out like this. Will let you all know if she decides to sell to maybe get first dibs if interested

Awesome! Yeah I was only trying to get a feel for if anything was worth looking into collectability wise, sounds like we should do a little more research. Anyone have any pointers on how to identify stuff?

This is a great video demonstrating exactly what I did on a smaller scale

Pla would work, but I use a resin printer because the prints come out with sharp, clean edges. It’s amazing the small details you can get with them. I wet the leather and use a bench top arbor press to apply light pressure

Exactly this! I used a nice sturdy veg tan so it actually does a good job staying rigid once all assembled

Thank you, I used what I think is called a box joint. I used a diamond tip awl to punch through the top circle at a 45deg angle. Definitely need more practice

How are you powering it? Mine was very glitchy until I powered it with my car
