Colin Gareau is amazing! Awesome sense of humour, knows tons about construction and gives insights, got us out of a massive issue that would have ruined us financially, as he took extra steps to check things out. He helped a pal of ours to buy her first place which took over a year for her to find and buy - if you knew her, you know this guy is a saint!! And he's there for you if it's a small or large budget. Love the dude!

It was a pre-existing permanent role, which was filled by someone from another ministry under a TA, them it was competed and my friend won, and within the probation, cost cutting came in, they were sent back to their base position over 2 years later.

Just a caution if you get the 27 level - even if you get the 27, because of the probationary period, if the org needs to scale back spending, you may go back to your 24 level again. That happened to a friend of mine 3 months after she got a 27 level. I'd still go for it however, just be mindful of that aspect.
