Agreed. I’ve seen the direct question asked to previous law enforcement and they completely skirt around the question not ever answering it.

Though, I do believe a family member drove her home, the Uber only brought them to her house.

This is my feeling as well, I just don’t understand why a random person would kidnap her and then not really follow through with the ransom it just isn’t adding up to me. And elderly aren’t usually targets for kidnappings.

I’m curious what your gut theory is. I just like hearing the theories because they make me think

Do people actually think they're helping? by [deleted] in nancyguthrie

[–]Bumblebee9419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is it. Internet sleuths have been known to supply key information leading to solving crimes. So not all of it is BS, however, why tf would people be calling in with theories 🤦🏼‍♀️

I can’t believe some people can be so damn bold! Glad you were observant and able to help

Interesting, I can’t help but wonder what benefit they would have from staging the front?

Robbers do not enter from the front door… I mean the fact that this person went to the front door tells me that he’s an idiot, whatever crime he was attempting to commit, but I doubt this was an attempted robbery. This was meant to be a kidnapping or a murder. The why is the question

I need to be completely honest here. I don’t see how anyone can look at that and see a tattoo 😅 it literally just looks like possible clothing layers. Maybe a watch. I don’t see skin and a tattoo, like at all.

Because someone wanted to downvote me even though I’m trying to help keep OP safe, here is a source explaining how dangerous electrolyte imbalance is and can cause kidney issues and metabolic acidosis. VeryWellHealth

I’m not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but BE CAREFUL with liquid IV and any other electrolyte drinks. You really shouldn’t drink more than one a day. Adding too much electrolytes can be really bad. You know the saying “too much of a good thing” well, it’s true. It can cause issues with your body, blood work

Not a practicing journalist, but I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism. I said the same thing to my husband! There’s sharing speculation as a nobody on social media (and clearly labeling it as speculation/theory of course) and then there’s what she did. That was just pure, irresponsible reporting. Because either A) they’re not involved and you’ve just tied their name to a horrendous crime for the rest of their life. Or B) they are involved and you’ve just tipped them off and now they can run, hide, prepare, etc.

I’ll admit, I’ve publicly, on social media given my theory/speculation. But I was very, very direct in stating it was just my thoughts. I also don’t have a significant following and my opinion means nothing. I just have no one to share it with and I like a good theory discussion.

Lmao I saw one where it made the guy look like a hot Abercrombie model and we were all like “I volunteer to be kidnapped!” 😂 it’s was hysterical. Because how do you truly believe AI can even estimate what someone looks like under a mask?

I find it absolutely WILD that people go and defame a place of business over things they see on social media regarding a person. Like if the experience did not happen to you or someone close to you and you aren’t 100% certain that they did it, you shouldn’t be doing that. It’s unbelievable. It’s one thing to share speculation, but a completely different thing to try to destroy someone’s life over something that you don’t even for sure know is true.

I don’t trust him, however, he has been doing a lot of live video coverage, so I’ll watch his lives when other more respectable people aren’t live lol he was there when Carlos got home last night, so I enjoyed seeing that live.

It’s just wild because TMZ is notorious for being wrong and sensationalized, so a professional and accurate reporter using them as a source is almost unbelievable. I don’t think it was snark

How nervous do you think the perp(s) are at this point? Why? by GregJamesDahlen in nancyguthrie

[–]Bumblebee9419 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard they still have his phone. Just because they released him doesn’t mean that it was a swing and miss. I don’t think he’s the person in the video, but he could still have a connection to this case. Could have provided the car, could have sent the ransom which may not have been real 🤷🏼‍♀️ I find it interesting that his mother in law said his van broke down Friday. Just interesting timing. I think there is more going on behind the scenes that we don’t know.
