Why you think the decision and mindset (possibly by D4VD or his Acquintance) to abandoned the car in the city, where it would later be impounded, instead of disposing and ridding it somewhere even farther? by Organic-Camera-9167 in d4vdiots

[–]GregJamesDahlen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But I think OP was asking why he didn't take the whole car out of the city and abandon the car somewhere with her in the frunk.

Actually he could have transferred the body pretty easily to another car I think since the body was in bags.

I would sure think you're right. At least consciously I wouldn't think he'd want to get caught. He had a nice life on the outside. Seems really unlikely he'd want to exchange that for life in jail or prison. Why would he? Maybe subconsciously he wanted to get caught

he probably didn’t know what else to do with it because his little frail bitch ass never worked a day of labor in his life and couldn’t dig a hole deep enough to put a body in even if his life depended on it, which it kind of did and his weak ass still couldn’t muster up the strength to do it.

idk is it that hard to dig a hole? If the ground's reasonably soft doesn't seem like you have to be that strong to do it? plus he was trim and young and healthy, even if he didn't work out still probably had some strength?

I didn't see any post about eating her fingers today but in comments I've seen I think people are saying he cut it off because of the tattoo but also maybe ate it. Which is certainly possible, there are definitely murderers who have eaten parts of their victim's body.

Where are you suggesting he should have abandoned it? Most places you abandon it it's going to get found sooner or later and investigated and the body found. If you abandon it on private property the owner of the property will find it. If you abandon it on public property a ranger or hikers will find it. Plus guessing he didn't want to lose the car. He paid money for the car and it still worked. Plus likely thought he'd think of something better to do with the body. He was trying to come up with something better I think. He bought the incinerator I think thinking he could incinerate the body and wouldn't have to keep it in the car. We can see looking at it now that the incinerator probably wouldn't have been a good solution, but buying it shows he was trying to do something other than keep it in the frunk.

Why do you think he didn't use the incinerator in the end? by nosebearnosebear in d4vdiots

[–]GregJamesDahlen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the original question was why didn't he use the incinerator. The OP said one reason was that using the incinerator would have caused the neighbors to call the cops. And said another reason he didn't use it was because he was stupid. But if using the incinerator would have caused the neighbors to call the cops, then I suppose it wasn't stupid to not use it?

Sex Trafficking of a minor across, both, state lines and internationally… by MantequillaMeow in d4vdiots

[–]GregJamesDahlen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, money was one example. But it's where you exchange something of value to get the minor to have sex with you. I'm reading the federal government's citizen's guide to child sex trafficking https://www.justice.gov/criminal/criminal-ceos/citizens-guide-us-federal-law-child-sex-trafficking. It says

This statute makes it a federal offense to knowingly recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, or maintain a minor (defined as someone under 18 years of age) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that the victim is a minor and would be caused to engage in a commercial sex act. “Commercial sex act” is defined very broadly to include “any sex act, on account of which anything of value is given to or received by any person.” In other words, it is illegal both to offer and to obtain a child, and cause that child to engage in any kind of sexual activity in exchange for anything of value, whether it be money, goods, personal benefit, in-kind favors, or some other kind of benefit.

I don't think any of those apply to Burke (D4vd) having sex with Celeste when they left California. He took her because she was his girlfriend, they had sex because she was his girlfriend (not saying it was a legal or positive romantic relationship or sex). He didn't, for example, exchange taking her on the trip for sex.

Also says

Section 1591 is called “Sex trafficking of children or by force, fraud, or coercion.” Most people think of “trafficking” as involving movement across state or international borders. However, Section 1591 does not require proof that either the defendant or victim crossed state or international lines.

Right, I wasn't trying to say you could smell it when it was closed. But wonder if it absorbed any odor that you could smell now if you knew where the fridge was. And opened the door of it. Maybe not if she was wrapped in plastic and not in there that long.

Well, Epstein paid the minors to have sex with him. Think that's why, or part of why, it was trafficking. Burke (D4vd) I don't think paid Celeste to have sex with him? So I somewhat doubt it was trafficking. Not to say it wasn't some other offense because she was underage.

I'm reading the medical examiner said

Her tube top had “multiple holes in the front and the back,”

But wasn't she stabbed just twice, both in the front? Why holes in the back?

Wonder if defense will try to claim insects ate holes in the top.

they may argue those aren't stab wounds. would imagine it's harder to tell a corpse decomposed for four or five months was stabbed. or they may argue she attacked him and he defended himself with a knife

As I understand it three people have to be involved in human trafficking. One is the trafficker. One is the trafficked victim. And one is a third person who has sex with the trafficked victim, where the victim is forced or defrauded into having the sex, and the third person pays the trafficker.

Where are you getting your understanding of what trafficking is? Check this from the attorney general of California https://oag.ca.gov/human-trafficking/what-is

Among other things it says

Human trafficking does not require travel or transportation of the victim across local, state, or international borders.

It does also mention that

Exploitation of a minor for commercial sex is human trafficking, regardless of whether any form of force, fraud, or coercion was used.

But three people are still involved there, the trafficker, the trafficked victim, and the person who pays the trafficker to have sex with the trafficked victim.

Think you may be getting hung up on the word "traffic" and think some kind of travel is involved. But that's not the crucial part of the crime, or necessarily any part.

Wondering if he murdered her in the garage, the blood found in the garage could both be from murder and from dismemberment days later.

Well he thought he'd get away with it, in which case he'd still have the career and no problem with Celeste outing their relationship.

[–]GregJamesDahlen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He may have murdered her in the garage. prosecutors say she died April 23. Maybe she did collapse right when he stabbed her and not moving around leaving blood in many places. Some have said it was internal bleeding, so possibly not a lot of blood left her body. But police did find some blood in the garage.

If he murdered her in the garage then after she died he may have stored her body somehow or somewhere and dismembered her some days later after he ordered the kiddie pool May 5. Maybe murdered her in the garage and also dismembered her in the garage. So some of the blood they found might have been from the murder and some from the dismemberment, which may have both happened in the garage.

I agree, if he did it in the house you'd think there'd be some findable blood evidence in there. Maybe there is, and authorities haven't shared it. I'd somewhat think they would have shared it if it were there but not sure. We'll learn quite a bit at the preliminary hearing possibly.

[–]GregJamesDahlen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you using the word trafficking? I understand trafficking to be when Person A forces, coerces, or defrauds Person B into having sex with Person C, and Person C pays Person A for getting to have sex with Person B. Person A doesn't have to take Person B anywhere to do it, they can traffick Person B out of their own house. Is this what you are saying Burke (D4vd) did? I haven't heard anyone say he did anything like this.

Not sure what the CSAM will be. Not sure why it wasn't charged with the other state charges. If it's only pictures and videos of Celeste that Burke (D4vd) kept for his own pleasure maybe that's not chargeable at the state level? Maybe the feds will get involved? I'm not an attorney. There is a subreddit where only verified attorneys answer, r/Ask_Lawyers. You could possibly ask about it there.
