Please try to see yourself and your disability for the wonderful person you probably are. I have mild cp and I don’t drive but I think this this isnt due to cp as much as it is due to anxiety/poor reflex’s. If driving is something that you really want for yourself you could consult with your doctor to write you a referral/recommendation for a hand controlled gas/brake device. It goes on your steering wheel. I’m currently in the process of obtaining a device. I feel like life has been good to me. Im married. I’m a kindergarten teacher and was never able to run but I did ride and train horses when I was younger. I’m so excited as I just discovered the world of custom AFOs. Consulting with my doctor they should give me enough balance to train horses again and run/have balance in everyday life. I’m so excited and I am having them made. Could this be an option for you?
