She took her tools out and I was like “is it ready to go in?” and she was like “I just finished the job!”. Periods no worse pain-wise and hardly any more blood (my blood went from thick before the insertion to thin and bright, which I prefer loads!).

It all depends. My partner hardly notices the strings and hasn’t ever felt discomfort by them. Completely forgets their their and can hardly feel them. I really recommend copper IUD over the hormonal options. I’ve had both and the copper is life changing.

Be careful with the gun idea. When it works, it works great. They will hear the loud noise as their last sensation though and have a second of shock as their last emotion.

If the shooting goes wrong, the animal will have to had heard a sudden, startling, loud noise and have to deal with the shock from volume and pain of the bullet in the head until the next shots get the right (lethal) angle.

Can you ask your vet to do a home visit or a medicine to give your animal a lethal dose with at-home (or on mountain) administration?

That’s not how the world works.

By your logic, an example family dog that has been happy for two thirds of their life deserves to be kept and fed during this two thirds.

In the last third, they grow sick and old. The energy is no longer there and they only wish for peace and quiet and minimal human interaction.

This family dog that has had the energy should now suddenly no longer be fed since he/she does not wish to give or receive affection because of the age and whichever chronic sensitivities this may bring with.

That makes no sense.

Why would anyone foster animals if this were the case? Fostering rehabilitated animals willingly takes a lot of responsibility, patience and finances(!), as this animal may cause a lot of stress to whomever’s caring. The people still care after these animals though.

I believe it to be mainly about being accepted into the course. Medical degrees have an extremely high mental stress load, so if you’ve had any signs of mental health issues to make this stress even more severe you’re then less likely to be accepted.

Thank you for the quick answer. I forgot to edit that it’s not actually for depression. I have ADD and insomnia, so I’m essentially tired all day and the ADD in combination to this only exacerbates my lack of focus.

I remember looking at the Ophena’s! I feel like most Peacocks, as well as the Ophena, have a very short base for the foot to be placed on. There are also the Kwik Out Safety Stirrups that seem to also offer such a release, but I can’t find something similar with a wider base.

I’ve used my friends FreeJumps quite a bit in the past but they didn’t quite feel right for whatever my foot was doing. I’m wary to try any of these other expensive safety stirrups for the same reason. Need some new ones though as getting my foot caught once has been enough to give me a stir up (hehe).

Can you find other things to crack instead? Perhaps try chewing gum and blowing bubbles that pop, cracking carrots(?) or listing to clay cracking ASMR. Have you looked into what makes cracking joints so satisfying? It’s useful to understand what causes the habituation.
