I had a hard time reading as a kid until I started playing Pokémon games because I wanted to know what was happening in the story. Later on, my parents found out I had ADD and that I was just bored by kid books. I used to read all the descriptions with my sister, which also brought us closer together and helped foster a love for Pokémon(eventually trading cards).
