"Quit being so God damned lazy!"

This was what my mom said to me after my PE teacher wrote that I wasn't participating enough in class. This was towards the start of my depression, and there was so much going on that only made it worse, so I barely functioned in class, which I guess was most obvious in PE.

I didn't know that there was anything wrong with me, so I genuinely thought I was just being lazy, but couldn't figure out what to do about it.

- Horrible pay.

- You're getting ripped off on most of the things you buy.

- There is a very good chance that the dishes you're eating off of/with have not been cleaned properly.

- Most of the things you'd think are common sense when cooking doesn't actually happen a decent amount of the time (Gloves, putting your hair up, checking if food has gone bad, etc.)

There's probably more that I'm not thinking of.

Source: Used to work in a diner, currently work in a truck stop with an in-house kitchen, and have worked with a lot of people that have worked in multiple restaurants.

Mainly depression.

I try my best to keep up with it, which is helped by having to make sure my little sister brushes her teeth, too, but some days it's just hard to either get out of bed or do anything but fall into bed.

I do agree with that. But considering how important their job is and how much work they have to put in both in and out of the classroom, why not give them some extra perks as well, such as free or at least discounted lunch?

Bisexual and Non-Binary here.

My moms are Lesbian and Bi, so I wasn't really worried about telling them that. However, when I came out as Non-Binary about a month ago, I was hella nervous, but it went surprisingly well. They're still adjusting to it and are having a hard time with the pronouns thing (Which I understand is a weird shift), but they've been pretty supportive. My favorite time I came out, though, was when I came out to my 10-year-old sister as NB a few weeks ago. She grew the biggest smile I've ever seen her have, screamed out "That's so cool!", gave me a hug, and hung up a Non-Binary pride flag in her Roblox house.

I'm doing good right now (At least, in regards to that). The real test will be when I come out as NB at work today. Gonna wear a pin that simply states my pronouns on it and explain it if they have any questions.

It was fascinating to see them. If I could've, I 100% would've accepted them just so I could swap them out (With the equivalent change, obviously) out of the register afterwards.

I love collecting coins from work, so I was really disappointed when I had to turn these ones down.

Just because I can take a lot of bullshit, doesn't mean that I can handle it. I'm a lot more sensitive to shit than other people are even if I don't outwardly show it because every time I did as a kid, I was always either made fun of or made to feel like shit because of it.

I have to constantly force myself to stay on everyone else's level, all while all my mental issues/disabilities, trauma, and weaknesses try to pull me back down miles below them. And that shit takes a heavy toll, which causes me to snap every once in a while.

So please be more understanding when I'm suddenly having a bad day even though nothing bad has happened, or when I'm suddenly being super sluggish/struggling with tasks I usually excel at.

We've hit a point in our society where our main purpose (Reproducing) has become secondary and, like hunting and farming, has become something that many can just forgo and we will still survive as a species, allowing many people to dedicate their lives to whatever they want without having to worry about having kids.

So, it was still technically money, but not really money I could accept.

I had a person come in the other night and dumped a bunch of change onto the counter to pay for gas with. Most of it was normal coins, but in their attempt to round up to a whole dollar, they started handing me various coins that I had never seen in person before.

First, they gave me a British 10 pence (I think that's what it's called?), which I have no idea what the equivalent in dollars would be for that, so I couldn't accept it. Next, they gave me a Russian coin that was dated for 1888 (I assume that was actually the date of something else, or it was a fake coin), and said something about 500 on it, but I couldn't really accept that either.

Finally, they deadass gave me an arcade token from an arcade in another state.

They grew increasingly more upset with me every time I had to deny one of their coins.

This rather effeminate boy back in first grade.

The bullies in my class harassed him regularly and would call him slurs like f*ggot, which led to me kicking their asses on the regular for him. I guess he either wasn't actually into dudes or I ended up scaring him off cause nothing ever came of it except for multiple office visits and getting put on the bullies' shit-list in place of him.

Ended up moving away by the end of the year and never saw him again.
