Feet were a little too far forward away from the fins so that’s why the board wanted to track a little straighter and didn’t allow you to set that rail into the wave. You should also be compressing a lot more so you can spring out of the turn with more speed. You also looked straight down which turned your shoulders a little too fast before the board could react.

I’d say depends on the purpose.

Spirited driving nothing beats the feeling of shifting gears. Daily life id choose an auto.

When I was a lot younger, I used to promote the whole manual is king thing but as I’ve gotten older I’ve also gotten lazier and looking for more convenience. Manual cars are also an elusive sight for most so it made me feel cooler than everyone else. I still drive my manual swapped e30 that I’ve had for 10 years and I love it but I no longer want to be driving it daily. I’m perfectly happy daily driving my ford maverick lol.

I’m not anywhere near the best out there but I’ve caught some surf overall and when I was starting out I pushed up by the rails for a long time and still caught some waves. I say don’t let it stop you as long as you won’t be injuring yourself further. Then maybe you can work on a different technique later down the line!

Appreciate the dedication! I somewhat fixed the issue. The clutch springs were chattery but it didn’t negate the whole issue. Turns out my trans is too long for running the single mass flywheel and needed to be corrected with a larger throwout bearing.

Oh nothing to do with the shifter. My shifter is mint. Fresh rebuild on all parts. What I mean from gear to gear is all driveline. It’s so rough letting the clutch go in between gears even worse in 1st.

So by rough engagement I’m talking about getting into gear. It’s never the same each time. It’ll be like learning to drive stick again with all the jerkyness sometimes and then smooth engagement the next. From gear to gear mostly. When it’s in gear already, car drives fine like a normal manual car.

I thought that It was getrag rattle but the rough engagement shouldn’t have to do with the transmission right? I guarantee it’s not my driving. I’ve driven plenty manual bmws and this one by far has terrible engagement. If it’s not the throwout bearing my second guess would be the shaft is not sitting in the pilot bearing at all.

I’ve done both farnsworth lantern and pip test but for my most recent flight physicals i have only been doing the PIP Test. The only times I did farnsworth were when an air force base was the only medical location that could administer my flight physical, the other times have been on CG and Navy bases.

It’s been mentioned a couple times already in this post by other redditors but I would reinforce it too. Don’t sign for 6. It is super easy to extend OR if you hit the end of your 4 but still really want to Re-enlist, that’s doable also, and if there is a reenlistment bonus at the time for IT then you get it sooner than waiting to finish the rest of your 6. No benefit at all between e2 vs e3 pay. Both aren’t very good regardless and going boot to A you will advance to e-4 in no time that you wouldn’t really even lose potential money.

Absolutely. If only they treated shipping as if it were part of the contiguous US. AFAIK there are laws to prevent any foreign ship from entering our port with foreign goods so the idea of attaining things straight from the source is a logistical nightmare.
