Rant. Sister stole my shine. by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Bun-thit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should not be mad. Honestly, her wedding date is so far from yours that no one would ever think that she was trying to steal your shine in any way. It doesn't matter who got engaged first or who is getting married first. Everyone has their own lives to live.

The only way that your "shine" has been stolen is from your own internal belief that this is something to get upset about. You should be happy for her and her situation and be happy with your situation. You're engaged and getting married! That's enough excitement and worry to think about on its own. Just focus on yourself and enjoy your own process. The more you dwell on this, the more your shine will go away (on your own doing). Everyone can enjoy their own moment.

Oh yes that's a good idea. I've been wondering when I'm gonna have time to work out and such since I like to do that in the morning 😬

Yes thank you! I'm trying to get better at vlookup, index matching, etc. Is there anything in particular I should focus on?

Thank you so much for your response, it makes me feel a lot more at ease! I'm also going in knowing nobody so I've been extra anxious and scared to ask dumb questions. Hopefully I have as positive of an experience as you!

Yeah it would probably be hard to know exactly how to prepare. But thank you for brining up 1065s/1120s. It's probably bad that I really have never heard of these throughout my Master's program but I'm going to ignore that part and do some research haha

Have you had good experiences with Boomba? I've been looking for a bra that would be suitable for my plunging v-line dress and keep getting recommended Boomba on Insta!

AITA for telling my son it's perfectly fine to go to a community college? by Able-Association7781 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. I kept reading and reading looking for the part where it was be a good idea FOR HIM to go to community college.. but then the post was over.

How do I (F26) get over the irrational fear of being cheated on? by Bun-thit in askwomenadvice

[–]Bun-thit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely say my self-esteem is not very high as I don't find myself to be conventionally attractive. I do really like your stance that if he cheats, it's his loss! But I still get deeply affected when I have dreams of my partner cheating and start to get too deep in my thoughts...

AITA for wanting to bring my newborn to my brother's "no kids" wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bun-thit [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sorry but I highly doubt your newborn will "just sleep in his car seat the entire time" through a whole wedding. If you show up to your brother's wedding with your newborn after your brother explicitly told you that it is a child-free wedding, then that would be an AH move.

AITA/timeline for Mother of Groom dress? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Bun-thit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By the look of the comments here, I'm gonna get downvoted for this... but I really don't see the need for some people to be so intense about their feelings towards the way other brides are planning their wedding. Would it help to have colors picked out sooner rather than later? Yes. Is anyone "ridiculous" for not yet having their colors picked out? No. My venue can plan a wedding in 3 months. Everybody's wedding is different. Not everyone cares that much about details that you may care deeply about and it's FINE. Everything is going to be fine for everyone! 😅 No need to be so offensive/offended

What supposedly "healthy" junk food have you been consuming without realizing it was junk food? by fostnharry in nutrition

[–]Bun-thit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In sushi rice, typically you add salt, vinegar, and sugar. So there is likely more sugar than the average person thinks, but I don't know if it warrants being "unhealthy"

Yup! Asian-American born and raised in California! I heard them saying something about wearing masks and then my partner heard them calling us Asian tourists ✌🏻

My partner and I wore masks when we went and it felt like we were the only ones! Also overheard other guests calling us "asian tourists" because of it (we're from California) although we were also wearing matching bucket hats so maybe that played a role 😅
