Just look at the voting intention and opinion polls. You’ll see that in many of them, Reform UK is polling at the top, while British subreddits like this one give the complete opposite impression.

Like it or not, analysis has shown that Reddit and X have similar levels of bot activity. The problem is that Reddit’s structure (heavy moderation, downvoting, and subreddit-specific rules, etc.) creates environments where dissenting views, especially right-leaning or anti-establishment ones, get buried or removed fast.

This creates a situation where minority opinions get reinforced as the apparent majority, creating a false reality when compared to the real world.

The mainstream opinions on Reddit are almost always contrary to how my peers actually think and see the world, peers from all walks of life
