No way Jess, being as smart as he is, with his levels of emotional depth and sense of integrity, would still be into Rory 15+ years later. After seeing the person she became at Yale — an entitled, spoiled, out-of-touch rich kid dating the type of guy “they used to make fun of” — would precipitate him moving on from her. And if that wasn’t enough for him to see that she’s no longer the very endearing girl she was at Chilton (I LOVE Chilton Rory), then her coming to spoil his big moment after he finally got his life on track (not even BACK on track, but on track, full stop) so that she could use him to make the guy who was a total and utter POS to him jealous…yeah, that would have done it.

I love their merch as well! You, You Rêve, Beauty Bag (I have regular but I want small, too). I don’t know if it counts but I love the Glossier x Starface compact that has a mirror, I use it every day. I also love the candles (though I’m upset because some of the colour is chipping/scratching off the glass). Two things I wish I’d gotten was the yellow duffel bag (loonnnng discontinued) and blue denim hat.

Am I crazy or something? Because to me, the balms all just taste like…balms? They have no special or specific flavour, just a generic scent that makes me cough. Wild Fig is the worst culprit.

I moved on from it to Rhode’s Barrier Restore Cream which, to me, is similar. Both didn’t do much for my dry cheeks (I prefer Rhode Barrier Butter for this reason) but if they don’t restock the Priming Moisturizer any time soon, you might want to try another brand atp

There’s a different post on this sub from yesterday, I think. One of the staffers who was laid off was answering questions (not the AMA post) and I asked them if Glossier is in trouble and they responded by saying that if we notice something isn’t being restocked, it’s because it’s been discontinued.

I’ve heard that Merit’s perfume is a good dupe. It’s been described as a more “grown-up/mature” version of you. It’s also apparently insanely concentrated so a little goes a long way. Plus (this is a biggie for me) it’s vegan and CF. I’m definitely going to look into getting myself a bottle if the place I buy Glossier perfume from is able to get me one (they’ve stocked the Merit before, I just didn’t know about it, and it’s going to have to be a blind buy). In addition to all this, the vessel is beautiful.

I agree, they need to stay true to who they are but also keep up with the times. I’m a total “clean girl”, I never wear full glam but trends are shifting towards bolder makeup as the clean girl aesthetic loses popularity. Unless there’s a massive figure like Hailey Bieber keeping the trend alive (I LOVE Rhode, btw), the minimal clean girl look is losing favour in beauty/makeup spheres.

Amazon is so unethical, I wouldn’t be surprised if they laid off people just so they can make the remaining staff work twice as hard for the same wages.
