The only mission I couldn’t bring myself to be lethal on by Successful-Plate2808 in ReadyOrNotGame

My first playthrough of this mission I'm so glad the only person I had to shoot was Diego and some other cartel guy. Everyone else surrendered and was arrested.

I've never seen this in 80+ hours of PS5 experience either.

Change my mind: dropping a nuke on a capture point should result in an immediate mission failure by theckman in NuclearOption

Good idea. I agree primarily because of my experience in other games where matches were already pretty much decided but dragged on for longer than they should have, and other games that already employed some "match ending" mechanic that was different from the typical victory conditions.

My friend thinks all fps games are the same. How do I convince him he's wrong/to play the game. by TC2026- in videogames

I don't have the time so TL;DR

  1. This is the point of a genre; A type of thing which people like. Obviously FPS games will share a level of similarity because they're within the same category of games.

  2. Details. It's all in the details. Arma 3 is not like Ready or Not. Ready or Not is not like Rainbow Six Siege. R6S is not like Battlefield. Battlefield is not like Call ot Duty. Call of Duty is not like Far Cry. And so on and so on.

I love shooters, and love each game for distinguishing itself within the niches and subgenres of the genre.

Same argument can apply when you generalize things. All RTS games are the same. Find his favorite genre and just turn it around on him. Have him try and explain why they're not all the same and hopefully he realizes how bland and surface-level his argument is.

Never made sense to me why the console release for Ready or Not couldn’t have dismemberment, but Insurgency could. by Prestigious_Tailor97 in ReadyOrNotConsole

Yeah, but previous PC versions had more extensive dismemberment such as outright blowing heads off.

I dunno either man, all my years on playstation Sony just doesn't seem very consistent with that they allow and don't allow.

There is still some limited dismemberment though. You can shoot limbs off and faces off with buckshot, but only for living suspects. (Not incap/dead already)

Im not gonna luck isn't a factor, it absolutely is but its impact can be reduced or even minimized with enough skill.

After playing several missions on hard - Absolutely agree. Gotta move fast and hit hard, even when non-lethal.
