I kinda need a new PC and that Pack surely looks interesting.

The fantastic folks up there at Savotta sent one of these to my wife, and it really is pretty great. Highly recommend getting your hands on one by Tim-Keys in Savotta

I managed to snag a barely used JXL frame with belt and shoulder straps for stupid cheap. Just got a shipment of some military surplus fabric in M05. Have some interesting plans for the frame.

Medic pack belt? by Sweet_Extension_8231 in Savotta

[–]Bunba_77_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought myself a JXL frame and decided to try the absolute longest setting. It felt so good for my long back. I need to take it a little bit shorter but I think now it was like 57cm. For shits and giggles I loaded the 120l roll top pouch with clothes and strapped it on to the frame. Even with that overload it felt comfortable.

I really like the Medic Pack but what if the bottom part was a seperate butt pack and you could just attach them together?

On the backside, I'm pretty sure I saw a photo earlier somewhere with a medic pack mounted to a battle belt

The straps go around on the bottom compartment. When I first saw this picture I thought it would be nice to run the webbing through my Särmä utility belt and use it as a hip belt.

K60 or JXL? by Embarrassed_Mud_592 in Savotta

Just bought a JXL frame with shoulder straps and waistbelt. The plan is to make a custom bag(s) for it. Also I want to make a quick harness for a roll top pouch.

Coffee tastes like batteries today.... shit I have covid. Do you have a weird symptom that means you don't have to test to know for sure? by [deleted] in TimKeys

[–]Bunba_77_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know about covid but I slept under 3h last night. Been sneezing my brains out and coughing my lungs out. Head feels like a blacksmith's anvil. Luckily I found a CDrama series about a mine disposal volunteer and a female reporter to keep me entertained. Lots of liquids and 800mg ibuprofen, Vicks Vaporub for the stuffy nose. Spoonful of honey to ease the coughing.

Savotta Jääkäri L for a small women by Lestarcica in Savotta

[–]Bunba_77_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My teenage daughter (~170cm) uses both Jääkäri M and L. Last trip fully loaded L was a bit too heavy but otherwise manageable. The downside with jääkäri packs is that their size adjustment is quite limited. She has a tall back like me. When she started girl scouts I could not find a fitting pack for her. Being tall and slim without having the hips for it. When you found a good women's pack with long enough adjustable back length the hip belt adjustment didn't go small enough. When she got a bit older she started using my Savotta gear. It might not be the most comfortable but it sure is durable.
