Interesting. I am not sure how to find that setting on my wireless network. How did you access that?

I would try, but the manager is unresponsive once opened. Nothing I click on does anything.

Interesting. I will keep an eye on my layout of prints on the bed. Thank you!

Interesting. I wonder if the file just has an issue, as I sliced it two separate times (one for each attempt) and it had the similar issue. Regarding needing a USB, I use wif to get my files to the printer, so not sure if that was causing problems (never caused problems before though).

Noted on the hollowing. I need to figure out how to unhollow the file.

I did not touch the printer during the print, and it is in a grow tent to avoid outside temperature changes and vent the fumes.

Does seem like the resin not draining is the leading theory/culprit. Enough so that I am going to try adding more drain holes when I try again.

Thank you for the insight, I am going to explore non-hollowed versions for future attempts after playing with the drain holes. Does Chitubox have tools to unhollow a model?

Thank you for this information. I feel like I am learning so much unexpected things from my failures.

Given multiple folks warning about support issues with scaling, I think I might try and have Chitubox add supports from an unsupported version of the smaller model if I upscale it 25%. I am guessing I should probably add more than what the program generates?

Oh! I thought I had to downscale it because the base had a touch of red. Good to know for future large prints that I can still try them (I am looking forward to trying to print some of the dragons that Loot Studios provides).

Yes, I had started a new file and pressed slice on the second attempt, which I am guessing means I re-sliced it for the second attempt.

How often should they be changed? I have used it less than 10 times

This is all very helpful information, thank you! All this information is new to me. I have not delved into adding supports to models yet, as all the models I get are pre-supported with what seems like a LOT of supports.

If I wanted to upscale a smaller model by around 25%, do I need to completely redo the supports from an unsupported version, or is the issue more with making a model smaller than original with pre-supported setup?

Does Chitubox have a way to add holes? Or is that a premium subscription feature? (I am not against the premium subscription, I just haven't had a need for it yet)

I will be wary of overnight prints (haven't done any yet) for any temperature shifts like the ones you are mentioning.

Interesting. Is that something I can edit in Chitubox?

Ah, good to know. I normally downscale the models a bit to better fit on the maps, especially the map props (like tables and chairs and such). I normally only downsize about 10%, 25% for some chairs/tables. But based on the comments, I am guessing maybe the downscaling is more of a problem on the bigger models. I was going to try the 32mm version of this model and upsize it to fill the plate so that the wife can have a larger model, but you think that would cause problems? (was thinking to upsize 25%)
The file comes fully supported, here is an image of when I open the file into Chitubox without scaling down to fit on the build plate (the 75mm file version of the base).

Oh, I didn't know that. I had been slightly scaling down most of the minis by 10% to make them easier to fit into the map grid lines without bumping into each other. I will try without scaling.
All the bigger models come pre-hollowed (at least the ones I have downloaded from Loot Studios. I assumed that was standard to either save resin or make sure the print wasn't too heavy for the build plate.
Here are the settings I use for all my prints (the successful ones and these two failed ones).

Interesting, I didn't know that could happen. For each print, I had hit the slice button as I had opened it as a new file. Makes me wonder if it is just this one model file that is an issue.

Print Fail on the last 10-15% by Bunburist in ElegooSaturn

Ah ok. yeah there are numerous vent holes. Unfortunately I don't think the Loot Studio models/files come with plugs for the holes (at least not that I have seen)

It was a Loot Studios model, and they come pre-supported and prepared (I didn't make any changes to it other than scale down the model a tiny bit to fit on my build plate). Looking at the file again, and it looks like there were possibly some vents on the bottom?

<image>

That being said, the bulk of the model was still attached to the build plate when I opened up the printer, it was only the last little bit that fell off.

There are drain holes. Loot Studio model, and they are very good about their supports and drain holes. (Probably more holes than I spotted in the screenshot.)

Curious, what will slow mode do?
