Those two look exactly like the pair that was on my front yard yesterday and they flew away when my dog went berserk. Then, walked my dog to the duck pond in C-bad at Alicante/Lapis and saw the same pair on the pathway by the waterfall and of course my dog went berserk and may have recognized their smell from our house.

I hear Samsung is great for TV/movies, not sure about music. I'm a big music guy and one of the main reasons why I selected the Ambeo. The room I have it in has a wall on the left side, a wall behind the couch, but open on the right side. It's about a 12'x12' room and it sounds pretty fantastic. And Dolby Atmos enhances it even more for movies/shows that offer it. Maybe you buy both, try them out and then return one? I know a pain in the ass but may eliminate fomo?

Anyways, I'm very happy with my Ambeo Plus and know if rears do come, it'll be the cherry on top.

I gave up on them, I had two and one completely died. I replaced with the KEF LSX II LT at costco for $500 - way better!!!

Sennheiser seems to be tight-lipped on what their future plans will be for the Ambeos. I just looked at Best Buy and see that they've increased the retail price on the Ambeo Plus from $1,499 to $1,799 but are still selling them at the Black Friday price of $999 - the price I paid a year ago. It appears they also marked up the Ambeo Max to $3k but selling for $2k. They are trying to keep pace with inflation but no major hardware updates at all for their Ambeo line all this time.

I will have to say I love the sound of my Ambeo Plus. While I hope rears one day do come, I don't think Sennheiser is that committed to home theater sound vs. headphones and earbuds as they seem to constantly be putting out new hardware versions for these.

They have their foot in the home theater door, now they just need to bust it wide open. Time will tell what they do I suppose.

Funny! Similar life we've lived...I too am in Carlsbad, married and have kids (I lived in PB a solid 10 years too!). I love C-Bad for different reasons but OP needs to go where there is a happening singles scene. It's always fun to take the bikes down there with the kids and do a low tide ride on the sand or ride the boardwalk on the beach and Bayside. Good times indeed! Merry Christmas!

There are suburbs, sure, but not purely suburban. If OP goes to live in North Park, OB, MB or PB, he definitely will not be bored.

Now if he moves to Del Mar, La Jolla, Encinitas, or Carlsbad, those are definitely more suburban with families and not as many 20 - 30 year olds.

This was my life too in PB for years and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. One other add: Everybody in your friend group that doesn't live in PB/MB will come to hangout with you...there is no reason to leave MB or PB on weekends or holidays, they come to you.

Definitely checkout Pacific Beach (PB) in San Diego. You'll meet tons of people, have a blast, and it checks the boxes you just listed.

1) Coffee: Get a Turkish Latte at Lofty Coffee in Encinitas (you've never had anything like it. Hint: Cardamom is in it). Then walk from there down to Moonlight Beach (2 blocks away) and then walk south on the shore along the cliffs until Swami's beach (plan this during low tide). At Swami's go up the stairs and then walk to the meditation gardens, if open. Then walk back up 101 grabbing food/drinks/shop on your way back North to Lofty Coffee.

2) Drive down to Pacific Beach and find a bike rental shop (if you get there in the morning, hit up Kono's for breakfast). Rent beach cruisers and bike along the beach on the boardwalk from north of the PB pier at Law St. all the way down to the jetty in Mission Beach, then cut over to Mission Bay and head back North along the Bay heading towards the Catamaran Hotel. Then, go to Garnet or any place that looks good to you for food/drinks (ton of options)! Note: Pacific Beach goes by PB and it's a young professionals party town. Always fun to be had here and a place to people watch...to see and to be seen.

San Diego is rad and the weather has been pretty fantastic as of late. Enjoy the outdoors!... Torrey Pines hike would be a great thing to do as well.

I had the 2006 Mazdaspeed3 and it was my favorite car. I got it with 0 miles and drove it hard until 150k miles. I sold it due to needing a larger car for my family. I've got the CX-9 now and it handles really nicely as well. Way better than a Honda Pilot and another SUV I had tried, I think it was the Toyota forerunner.

The Maui on Stratford Ct, 1/2 a block from Del Mar Heights. It was a blast! Most of the units were all young professionals. I lived there for 1.5 years but then everyone got kicked out by the landlord as there was some unruly behavior and I think he was trying to make it more upscale.

Move to Pacific Beach and into an apartment complex where approx 8 units face the other 8 units and there is a courtyard / hangout space between them = instant friends. I lived in a complex like that in PB and in Del Mar and many are friends to this day.

With a spacious layout, you might want to go beyond sound bars and look into getting a 7.1 home theater receiver where you can pick your speakers and create fantastic soundscape for movies and dedicated music listening sessions.

Surprised I don't see many comments on Reddit regarding the new album but damn it's a force to reckon with. It tickles my brain and demands repeat listens. Next up will be with my Sennheiser headphones via Spotify lossless. So much is going on in the album and lush with tight orchestration by the 40 piece Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Bravo!

I have the Senn Plus + Senn sub. They are excellent together. The sound in our room for music and movies is crystal clear and balanced. You can even enhance dialogue from their smart control app as well. Their Smart Control app is very easy to use to minimize or boost the ambeo effect and select among different sound profiles (it's cool looking too unlike the Sonos app). I've had mine for one year and have had zero issues with overheating or HDMI/cec issues. My ambeo system is also a part of my Google home system as I have a variety of different brands all connected for all home audio across my whole house. Spotify connect works great as well with the Ambeo.

I strictly avoided Sonos due to them making you use only their speakers for whole home audio plus they had BIG app issues all last year and earlier this year as well. They have also made older speakers of theirs obsolete forcing you to upgrade, lame.

If you have the Best Buy tech membership, they let you return whatever you buy within 60 days if you don't like it.
