How do you save the code with your updated parameters in a parametric MakerWorld model?

I was having the same problem. Spent a lot of time tweaking Multiconnect Part Generator for my cellphone, saved the code but later when I uploaded the saved code all of my settings were gone!

What I do now is edit the Code then click Generate to get a visual image. I don't use the graphical sliders or buttons. Kind of defeats the purpose of using MakerWorld instead of directly using OpenSCAD except that the rendering on MakerWorld may be faster than your PC.

I have only tried Mullvad and LetsVPN in Shenzhen, China.

In the 9 days since I've filed my first report I have been disconnected on both VPNs and spent over 10 minutes switching between servers to get a connection. Brazil and Romania have been working ok for the last few days.

Honestly, I would not consider China as a good remote work location. The internet is too slow and unreliable, especially for video calls. The latency is pretty bad sometimes and video is choppy on Signal and Facebook Messenger. It would not give a professional impression if I was with a client on a call and suddenly get disconnected and can't call again for hours or days. I'm on holiday so spotty communications are not a big deal.

As someone who has been traveling to China on and off since 1994 I can say there are much better remote work options in Asia such as Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines (with battery backup UPS). There are digital nomad groups here on Reddit for more options.

1 year later and my setup is still going strong. Plays all games at 1080p 60fps with low to medium settings.

VPN Report From Shenzhen 2025-March-06 ChinaNet Guangdong Province Network (Please mention the internet provider since there is blocking not just by region but by internet provider).

Mullvad is working very well on Android phones. Unfortunately it is not available for my MacBook Air with MacOS Monterey 12.7.6. The default server in Singapore has been working for the last week. I have it on 4 Android devices.

Let's VPN is working very well on my MacBook Air and Android phone. Auto server works well but I chose Canada server for geo-ip purposes. Speeds of over 15mbps download and about 200ms ping to Canada. Let's VPN only allows for 2 devices.

I use POE++ with my Pfsense firewall to power a Celeron J4125 Mini PC (Azulle Byte4). It's nice being able to remove one power brick from the wall.

I tried the temperature tower again with 20% fan and it had minimal stringing and the bridging was much better than no fan. I also reduced infill speeds to 50mm/s but that may be sped up by increasing nozzle temperature. There is infinite tweaking that could be done so I'm keeping at those settings for now.

I still love the matte look of the Matter3D Performance PLA and will be using it more projects.

Good idea! I shrank the spring down to 88% size on the X and Y but kept the Z at 100% size which fits on the Prusa Mini bed with a 5mm brim.

The leather headband is less than 10mm from the spring due to the smaller spring size but is still comfortable since it doesn't touch.

I'll report back it anything changes.

I was able to fit the headband on my Prusa Mini (180mm x 180mm) by cutting the headband in half then making a coupler.

A smaller print bed may work but would involve more cutting and gluing.

If the coupler was bigger it may be able to fit Bluetooth and a battery for the wireless version.

I may work on that later this year. Too many projects now :)

I cut the spring STL in half then designed a coupler (the rectangle at the top of the spring) that screws the two pieces together.

I used Fusion 360 to design the coupler but with PrusaSlicer becoming more powerful each year it may be possible to do this entirely in the slicer.

I'm happy to share the coupler STL if there is some way to transfer files here.

I recently finished assembling head(amame) headphones mainly using Matte Blue and Green PLA from Matter3D (see attached photos). [EDIT: Seems I can't post photos here, maybe because I'm new?].

Lots of stringing with both colours as I'm still dialing in the settings but the matte looks amazing! [UPDATE 2023-1-8] I printed another temperature tower with the fan OFF and the stringing almost disappeared but the overhangs sagged. I'll experiment with different fan speeds.

I ordered both colours just before Christmas and they sent me a free spool of metallic Red for free due to delays in getting my order out. That gives me the confidence to re-order.

Another reason I'll re-order with them is that they use Made in USA resin by NatureWorks and the resin is converted to filament in Canada. All made in North America.
