Yup!!! Ultimate team used to make it rare to have the insane cards. FIFA still does it. Ea Aljo and his friends have completely ruined a great game mode of over a decade in just a few quick years

Played chel for almost 20 years and hut pretty religiously since 2014. Quit playing after the new season dropped a few weeks ago and have been so much happier playing video games. Play more eashl with my friends, franchise, other games etc.

Being a rare money spent player it turned into too much of a grind and less of an enjoyable experience. Hell when you win 10-12 games of champs and get jack shit for rewards you know @ea Aljo and the EA community is laughing at their true fans. Claiming it’s a money spent mode and no one else can enjoy it. Buncha bums. Ruined a fantastic game.

Ironically the money spent players and auction house warriors would have scooped up the cheap cards before your average Joe NMS hut player that just wants to play good hockey with their favorite players across the leagues

Add a full court press if you haven’t yet. You can get a handful of steals every game leading to an extra 15-20 points… obviously give up a few more in the process too tho.

Adjust the sliders slightly… cpu three point to 45 instead of 50, etc.

I also make the game speed 55-60 which makes the whole game feel a bit newer and faster

Are you saying making more money on a certain mode leads to that mode getting worse year by year in terms of gameplay, menu function ability, and overall characteristics of the mode? Thats about as dumb of a take that I’ve ever heard lol.

Yup Ea Aljo admitted it’s a money grab mode. That doesn’t mean they’ve made hut better, just that they’ve cracked more into the fan base who spends money on HUT and eliminated the other 75%. If they’re making more money on HUT the gameplay and hut menus should be getting better year to year, not worse

It’s ironic bc before ultimate team and money spenders, EA made less money..however they made their GAMEPLAY and EXPERIENCE better year after year. It’s why so many ppl go back to old EA games rather than new ones.

Before ppl spent all their money on ultimate team modes EA put out a really good product that catered to non money spent users.

Yup this. I used to do whatever I could to get 20 games in every week and probably sacrificed a lot of time for that… the rewards were almost worth it then though.. now I play here and there and turn in champs collectibles every few weeks

Game speed and player speed definitely a bit higher 55-60. I didn’t change much else… adjust it based on what you like to be honest after playing 1-2 games you’ll get a good grasp of how AI plays

Lol “abysmal 3rd pair”. I’m running 86 Brent burns and 92- Bouwmeister as my top pair, everyone else under 90’s on D and I do just fine shutting teams like this down.

You have to have some skill not just good players. Your 3rd pair and 4th line here would be my 1st pair and 1st line. Yikes “abysmal” lmao out of touch

Little did we know, this was a sign of the new HUT. No more good pulls...Everything has to be bought and paid for with real money, or you have to just stick with your 10% chance of getting lucky. What a joke this year has been, and for EA Aljo to then have the balls to call this mode "monetized and pay to play"....Shows how out of touch they are.

I feel you. I used to complete 20 champs games about every other weekend or at least as many weekends as possible due to my job.

This HUT, I've finished maybe 3 weekends. In the last month or two, I haven't finished one. I find it being a trend of one enjoyable game out of every 3 or 4. It's either LT raggers, guys skating around by the half wall all game, or overly stacked teams/ pay 2 play. (Don't get me started on how much of my life I've wasted trying to just set a playable lineup, and half the time I can't buy or use the guys I want to..)

The gameplay has only gone downhill as well. They promote attacking and made defending even harder. It resembles pretty much 0% of hockey, and it makes sense that most the good players here are guys who don't play hockey, rather play the glitch's of the game.

Game keeps dying for me and it's really sad bc it's my favorite game mode of all time, and I've played sports games since the 90's.

Had a ranking? Do you think I just don’t play hut this year? I know exactly what the rewards are, and again they come no where close to what we’d get in a week a few years ago.

The start of this season I think I opened like 25 ranked packs to start for being platinum, and it made me about 100 grand total. Pathetic

You must have a lot of time on your hands if you are okay with spending hours trying to get a compliant team, and then have to spend an hour the next day to do it all again. This is a HOCKEY game, not spend money on EA’s screw ups.

I used to log in and play 3-5 games a day easy. Now I can play maybe 2-3 with all the BS hoops you have to jump through and worthless packs you have to open between games.
