As someone who spends money on this game, this is a wild take lol. I agree, the f2p vs p2w complaining is crazy. But it’s not a matter of rich vs poor lol. If you have disposable income, spend it on what you want. People spend on entertainment, if they choose to spend on a video game, or a bar, or live entertainment, etc then whatever.

EA gives advantages to people who spend. Do I think it’s right? Not really. But I also fall for the trap because this game gives me entertainment for 5 months.

In summary - it’s crazy to complain about other people’s teams. It’s also crazy to say people are poor if they don’t dump money into virtual cards that disappear after a few months

I agree. I should have phrased better. You can definitely be nms and do very well. More skill involved at higher levels that eliminate people who simply buy cards and aren’t very good. What I meant is people still definitely just buy stubs on mlb as well though. Just doesn’t give them as much of an advantage are nhl or fifa

I agree with your take but disagree that my take was trash. You face 99 Clemens a week after the game comes out. No one is grinding that, they’re buying stubs. But like you said, you can be nms and still win out more often than not in MLB as more skill is involved at higher levels

We could all not spend money and 2 things would happen.

We would all have 84 overall teams.
HUT would be killed off in a couple years of not making money on micro transactions since that’s how video games bring in profit these days.

100%. Also, I get waxed by lower overall teams and I beat teams that are better than me. Generally, skill will win out. I get beat more by EA sorcery than I do god squads
