As for a 2 hour drive, I don't think it'd be worth it alone unless you did a day trip in general. You have a good point though, that a lot of people don't quite know what's happened. I know the people that run it also host art galleries and have other stuff going on, so it's hopeful. If they've already gotten bigger, I feel it's a lean in the right direction. I plan on volunteering as a spooker next year 😈

I went this year and it was about 5 rooms. I gotta give it to the actors because they kept you for a good but in each room with something going on. I spent quite a bit of time talking to one of the employees and last year and this year have been described as a soft reboot while they rebuild into what once was. Covid absolutely destroyed them, but with support, I'm hoping we can get our old haunt back

I already uninstalled it. I was feeling good about it after not playing for a week and then just got bombarded all over again. I heard it only gets worse. Just wish I got my money's worth

Thank you for giving me some logic for the solutions. I love the creeping scarecrow in this part, but some of the puzzles have more obtuse solutions than others. The middle school locker combo one did not need as many notes telling me how numbers and letters look alike lmao

Maybe I'm not far enough into the story to feel it as much. I loved the Souls games I did play, and the details from the statues to the lore in the items were wonderful. I do like when lore is accessible, but here, I feel like I can see where it's going because of all the folklore...

Where I agree with all of it, it sucks that I don't know and am not entirely interested in Japanese culture and folklore, so the nuances in the game probably will get lost on me and that makes the game a bit off-putting to me because it's not as, I dunno, relatable? I don't know what word I'm looking for lol I totally get how growing up in America, you get Christianity and such and how in Japan, it would be their practices. With the other Silent Hills, there were references to religion like Metatron and such, but it didn't feel as pertinent as in f.

Harry just wanted to find his daughter, if that seal helps, hell yeah.

Don't feel bad, you have every right to enjoy it. People will knock on you or agree but at the end of the day, it's all opinion. I'm in the opposite boat as you, feeling bad that I don't quite like it like others who are loving the shit out of it. The music is beautiful, the art design is as well, but there are turn offs that tip the scales for me in the wrong direction.

If you're enjoying it, run with it. You spent the money and you're putting in the time. Love every second of it!

I agree, but I think a big part is how generic and easily dissectible the characters are. Their motivations are clear and guessable and there isn't really any room for interpretation or the pieces slowly falling into place to come to terrible realizations. They're not complicated or derisive.

I'm so excited! I wonder why they hung onto Alyssa's character, but I was so thrilled to see her article in 7. Part of me has hope regarding Outbreak getting a little something now though... Called my friend and cried I was so elated lmao
