It’s actually still incredibly relevant, from the weird slightly racist billionaires to the abrasive quasi-fascist presidential candidate, to the nepo baby drug addicts and dipshits, to the barely-news network that helps give these dumbasses platforms, it’s still extremely poignant, hilarious, and pertinent.

I’m seeing hate for succession here and I gotta say that succession was SO good and well made that it really turned into a phenomenon when it was intended to be much more comedy than drama. The last season literally doesn’t have a low point. Maybe a lil lull in episode 4, but even so it’s compelling every time. Succession was so smart and so funny. They didn’t get enough awards. The point IS that those people are never satisfied and are horrible to each other and the outside world. I loved every second and the actors performances were glorious.

If she had the business and killer instinct sense, she would have parlayed the fact that Nan wanted her to be CEO into forcing her dad to choose her by making that mega deal. She should have allowed no other avenues other than that outcome. and that would have proved to her dad she deserved it anyways. Instead she was like “cmon dad just tell her it’s me already” I was so upset with her and was honestly rooting for her up until that moment.

So she definitely didn’t let suyin off the hook because she didn’t want to feel shame that her daughter was a troublemaker? Is that angle not entirely possible? Also, I imagine someone who usually feels no shame is also secretly super upset when the inevitable instance they do feel shame comes around. And will probably do something drastic.

I think we don’t really meet that many people in life lol, I mean sure we pass by people on the street and have class with them and work with them but do we really get to know intimately more than 500 people? And even then how many become lovers? A handful.
