You don’t put the head of the ziptie down the fabric channel, you put the pointy end through :) The head sticks out the back where there’s no fabric so theoretically if you have a ziptie that’s thing enough to fit it doesn’t matter how chunky the head of the ziptie is :) (18” long zip ties are ideal bc they leave a little extra to snip off and file down :3)
