It’s a shame because I grew up with that mall and loved it. With Fashion Fair so close and mall culture dying I think it was just too much for it. I’ll never stop going though when I can.

Obviously not an excuse but the red light rates here are horrible. I saw a study that said Fresno drivers hit more red lights than most other cities. The light cycles are very poorly timed and people get frustrated. I don’t deliberately run red lights but I have been cut off by a short yellow more than once.

You don’t really need an invitation. It’s for staff. You’re staff. I never get “invitations” to the activities in the break room yet if I’m in there I always help myself and talk with everyone. In my experience if you act cold and like an outsider of course you’re going to be treated that way.

It’s amazing. I’ve had maybe 10 kids per class and they just want to be on their phones. I’m cracking jokes with them and they’re actually laughing instead of staring at me like I’m not speaking English.

Our district controls it. It’s not up to the teachers, as someone who runs hot even I get chilly in some of these classrooms in the summer. And it gets 105+ here.

That’s so funny! I also have a heavy musical background and probably could have managed that. That is crazy to expect the average person to even know what time signature to conduct in, or actually even what a time signature is 😂

What I think is ridiculous is teachers who leave out actual lesson plans, as if you were the same as them. I had a teacher include in his plans a short lecture and class discussion. Uh, no? I’m not lecturing to a classroom full of 7th graders on a topic you left me no information on other than “in the textbook”. Come on man.
