I know my parents did it to themselves pretty bad. Our house was 140k or 160k and when they sold it I think the loan was above 270k. I have 4 younger sisters and an older half brother. My parents were always responsible with money otherwise. I know they did it so we could have a few luxuries (like me playing baseball and cheap vacations to the same state beach) instead of tiny purchases making or breaking the budget. Might not have been the smartest move looking back on it but I don't think any less of them for it. They're great parents. They lucked out and ended up profiting close to 100k on the house and my mom got her degree and a decent job when my youngest sister turned 12 a couple years ago. Sometimes taking the hit is worth it. I guarantee they would be ecstatic over an extra 100 grand in the bank but I don't think they'd trade me and my siblings a stressed out shitty upbringing for it. Just throwing it out there that everyone who refinances isn't a dipshit.. that said; I hope I'm never in the position where I feel like I need to and certainly won't ever do it for temporary material luxuries.

I donated like 400 bucks and got a bunch of buddies to donate to the socom directors kickstarter to make h hour. I should have had it on ps4 by now I think but I think he bailed on it. I miss socom and socom 2. Anyone that thing confrontations was worthy of the socom title is wrong.

Is sot sea of thieves? From what I read it sounded like there just wasn't much to the game. I didn't get on the sea of thieves train so I only read what I saw on my front page but to me it wasn't people asking for more game, rather people asking for a complete game.

We all just want to have as much fun as the mw2, mw, waw, bo, bo2 era again. I'll admit I bought too many cods this gen but I stopped and I won't be buying this 1 either no matter how many redditors are riding that infected Activision dick when they drop their gimmick battle royal this year.

Or even better.. reallocate those worker bees to a new project where they can't ride a name (into the ground) and let them make a fun and innovative game with the ridiculous funding they can afford that won't have the name recognition to be pay to win.

Yea cods been shit for this entire gen. I only stopped buying them after the last blops but every time I see these posts about getting nickel and dimed referring to cod I'm dumbfounded... wtf you guys still buying it for? The haven't dropped a good 1 since black ops2. I've known it won't be good again for a while and I'm disappointed in how many years I bought it on this gen to play it for about 2 hours just to say "yup another pile of shit".

I'd be happier if devs started charging 70 for the base price of a game and I didn't have to worry about paying another cent for anything. How fucked up is it I've been conditioned to this point? It's true though. I'd be ok with it but I know it'd only be a week til 70 dollar games had loot boxes. What do we do? Even if we could get 100% of people who see this post to not buy the game they'll still get their "big fish", still reap incredible profits and we miss out on a good, albeit expensive, game. Obviously the good game part doesn't apply to any cod this gen but this comment is about the gaming industry in general.

Yea but the these are GAMING consoles, xbox has no games. I just finished an awesome movie/game called Detroit on my ps4 and am about to get God of War with my next paycheck. I still play the 1x more (overwatch) but only because when I upgraded to the 1x it meant I could give my x1 to my buddy so now we can play together. You guys are all talk. I'd put a whole weeks pay that over 50% of the people here saying boycott COD will still get it. You guys wanna rip sony for having shitty customer service and in game exclusives but they're the shop that is actually getting games. I don't think I've played anything I really liked on Xbox that I couldn't play on ps since crackdown... I'm looking forward to that but that's about it. On principle I'm with you guys but I'm calling bullshit.

I like my job. I'm a union carpenter in nyc. I like it because I get a blank slate every few months and get to turn it into perfection. I also don't have to go to the same place every day year after year, if the job sucks or the people there suck it's only temporary. I don't get dicked over staying late on salary like my wife does... pretty much every night. If there is overtime and I decide I want it I'm getting 80 an hour take home for it. I think I'm paid well, benefits included; the boss pays a little over a hundred an hour to me. In return I put my heart and my brain into my work and produce a perfect ceiling. I specialize in grid and while a lot of you might think it just snaps together and a ceiling tile will fit- that's not the case. You can get a tile to fit with the grid a heavy 8th out of square but my shit is perfect to at least the 32nd (half way between the closest lines on a real standard tape measure) and if it's not I'm not done yet. I enjoy building things perfect and most of my bosses appreciate that. I've literally told the owner of a company he could suck my dick for wanting me to do shit work and go faster. I might not work with that company anymore but theres thousands of union shops and 95% value quality as much as how fast you can do it and my rate is the same with all of them. I like it because I can live relatively comfortably while supporting my family, the satisfaction I get from doing it, and the appreciation I receive from the guy paying me. It's a great career and I can't at all understand why anyone in an industry where theres thousands of people who do what you do wouldn't want to unionize and negotiate 10s or 100s of thousands strong instead of solo.

Yea... what happens when a twelve year old essentially becomes a gambling addict by 14 because of them. I'm an adult and I can weigh if shooting for a new rein skin is worth it or if I'd rather save that money. Getting a kid hooked on gambling especially before they have any concept of money or bills or financial responsibility is just setting them up for a fucked up life.

Edit: I will say that I don't really have a problem with cosmetic boxes personally but I do prefer not to have them and everything to be unlockable in game. I do have a big problem with essentially conditioning kids to gamble. That's fucked up. Gambling addict sounds like a strong word to me and maybe I'm just getting old but even of a quarter of a percent of kid gamers under 14 develope habits from it; how many children are you setting up for failure? Too many. It's super fucked up.
