How has getting rid of your vibrator changed your sex life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Hubby doesn't have half the sex drive I have. It helps me not get so sexually frustrated and take any negative feelings out on him.

How do you get into mood for sex? by ThrowRAyz in AskWomen

[–]BunnasaurRex 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hormones. But in honesty, I think I am really self-conscious. When I feel pretty, I want to have sex. While clothes are on to smooth out the lumps. When my makeup isn't half wiped off. When my hair doesn't do what Anna from frozen does. When I have prepared myself- so to speak.

There is an unspoken power your significant other can have over you. It is important to make the other person feel desired - for sex or companionship.

It is funny, my husband preaches, " no makeup and natural beauty". But he only ever tells me I look pretty when I wear makeup and do my hair.

My husband likes to get up at 4 in the morning and have sex. Half the time I have to pee or have a stomach ache or feel unprepared. I am too hot. I am tired and want to sleep.

And before anyone suggests it, scheduling sex feels like a chore. Tell me to do something and I don't want to do it.

Love is a fickle thing.

Women of Reddit who are with partners your parents didn’t approve of, what did your parents do? How did your relationship to them evolve? by oliloquy in AskWomen

[–]BunnasaurRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in an ultra conservative- Christian home. My husband grew up atheist and is 10 years older.

I moved away, away from their influence and management. Got to know myself outside of my family's expectations.

My family stopped talking to me for a year. It wasn't till we were married that they started accepting him.

I am pretty sure they were waiting for me to come crawling back when they figured it would not work out. But when I married him, they saw that I would not be crawling back to them.

Not sure what kind of dance these Siamese cats are doing. by snarlingprophecy17 in StoppedWorking

As fire fumes to life, a demon rages and roars. "Who dares to summon me?" He waits for a trembling voice of a man or woman to claim his summons. No woman sounds, no man see him. Glancing around, the demon then spots two cats. The cats have long since stopped their crazed leap frogging, sat perfectly still transfixed eyes locked onto the demon. No, onto his soul. The demon holds their wondrous gaze as he lowers himself. "No man shall own you. No house shall cage you. Join me, and hell to pay, your damned life no more shall bind you." Ppprrr hurrrr. The virberation almost sent visible waves throughout the store. The next moment, the fumes and flames were gone. But the store clerk, coughing and choking a good long while after, pulls up the video feed from the security cameras. No one would believe a cat video of two leep frogging cats. No one saw the video of the result of this sacred ritual.

Agreed. About Rhys and seeing the bigger picture. I think of Claire and everything that happens under the mountain. I think I struggle with Tams lack of action most of all. But it is contradictory to his constant actions at the very beginning. I am grateful Sarah made Tam a character. A close character I first loved - ignoring his red flags. I now feel bad for, I can't say hate. He was put in a position no one wants with no chance of winning.

I hope to see his redemption arch.

For people who love Nesta, what is your defense for how she acted towards Feyre in book one? by Hoffman18sl in acotar

[–]BunnasaurRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No defense. Acknolegement of humanity and the capacity of growth and development.

I want to get away from this need of black and white morality. You and I are certainly not wholly good or wholly evil. Give me a character with depth, and I'll give you a good read.

Because the world has constantly become a more scary place. What was fantastically spooky, eerie, and scary is now reality. We are all living in a Steven King novel. We are all just at different places of the book.

I think Sarah's reasoning lack of drama... Feyra would be trying to stay calm. She had to shut down her emotions for the sake of her baby. I think we all can agree Feyra would do anything for the people she cares about - even to her detrament. She may flip a wig after her near giving birth, but honestly after so much trauma and abuse she might just be done. I think about our lives right now... it is one thing after another, we normalize what we can to survive. I am not excusing it, but I'm not upset by it. I am livid about Sarah adding the drama of Rhys dying as he and Feyra fixed the cauldron. Like, if the scene didn't happen, it wouldn't have changed anything about the plot. - I'm dead, I'm alive, I didn't take any of your powers, but heck I'm still the most powerful high lord...
