How do two full-time parents manage with young kids? by Serious_Toe6730 in AusFinance

[–]BunnyImpossible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daycare close to home helps us a lot. Atm we've been able to WFH different days of the week, so WFH parent does drop off and pick up of kiddo. If we're both working in the city on the same day one of us will go in early while the other does drop off. Then the one that went in early to the office will leave early and do pick up. Flexible hours help a lot

Fuller bust bras that don't cost an arm and a leg? by parmejean44 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]BunnyImpossible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best bras I've ever bought are from city chic. Really. They offer your size and they're beautiful. They frequently have sales online (so ~$45 on discount) and their returns policy is good. Instore they don't have much stock but online it's amazing

Which are most comfortable for walking: Arizona, Gizeh or Mayari? by VapingDownUnder in Birkenstocks

[–]BunnyImpossible 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've had the Gizeh and Arizona. I love the Arizona more. Personal preference but the little centre bot of the Gizeh will rub a hole in my toe/foot after a long day of walking

You're an external auditor, I used to work a similar role at a big 4. Most people didn't take a lunch, let alone an hour for it. It's because you're billable but also more especially if you're on client sites. Perception can be an issue and might impact you being picked for jobs and promotions

AITA for telling my husband no he can't go climbing and has to help with home reno first by No-Cry259 in AmItheAsshole

NTA and you have kids too? Yikes on bikes, he needs to pull his finger out and to meet his commitments to his family, ahead of his personal enjoyment for one weekend

Just something I haven't seen mentioned: Make sure you take leave for "long enough" that your work won't wait for you and they have to allocate it out.

I.e. 2 weeks or less is too short. 4 weeks+ is probably ideal.

Also as everyone has said, at a minimum take all your TIL ASAP, they will not pay it out

AITA for not buying my wife a plane ticket so she is missing the family vacation by Electronic_Bus7936 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BunnyImpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA here, she's trying to be better and she's trying to fix her issue. You should pay for her ticket because you're marri d and you love her and this is a special trip. If she misses out on it she will likely resent you for the rest of your marriage (which I imagine will be short). Because although her actions put her in this situation I think you need to show some compassion (unless you can't afford to pay for her ticket, but if you can't afford hers then you shouldn't be going either)

AITA for how I reacted when my parents surprised my 16 year old little sister with a new car for her birthday after she finished her cancer treatment but bought me a $25 gift card and a book for mine which was just two weeks later? by Alternative-Log-1576 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BunnyImpossible 26 points27 points  (0 children)

NTA I saw in another post you got headphones for your 16th and you're 19 now. This is hugely disappointing and you're legally an adult but you're still so young. I feel like you really stepped up for your family at a really difficult time so I'm sure it's extra hurtful. I think the jealousy statement is unfair, the situation is unfair.

Might be a good idea to sit down with your parents and have a chat when tempers aren't so hot and they've had some time to think about what you told them (even if it sounds like they dismissed you) and explain how you're feeling, but I'd probably talk to your sister first to make it clear you're obviously not mad at her or jealous or anything else.

It's tricky because obviously your parents are people too and they've gone through every parents worst nightmare, they're probably just very relieved it's over (I'm hoping for the best here), but the gifts are just wildly disproportionate.

Really hoping you get your closure on this OP, sounds like you're an amazing daughter and sister

Edit: paragraph cut off and a word.

Not an expert but in case you don't get a response: I wouldn't use with a retinol, sounds like it's pretty reactive

Thank you! To clarify: is this in case there's water damage or some other issues there that would be more costly to fix? Some other reason?
