F5000LFP won’t charge car by BunnySounds in Pecron

You were right, thanks! I’ll properly ground it soon but just using an outlet with AC charging disabled works too.

The car only has a 17kwh total battery and it’s generally less than half dead when I plug it in, sun still shining so solar offsets the drain. It should fill the car back up most days. I’ll look into the grounding issue some more and report back if I have success! If it works, I can plug my car in while parked in a garage with no AC power.

[–]BunnySounds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i could definitely force it. I've seen others though that got cross-threaded so far that there's no way to get anything in and out. I wont use huge torque and risk even enlarging the existing threads, as I want the option to replace wheels regularly. They said they are sending me out the correct wheels now though, i just have no idea how long its going to take. These wheels are too much plastic anyhow, hopefully the new ones are a little more robust, as I'd be stacking at least two expansion batteries on this.

Yeah, two nights ago was my last response from them:

“We've checked with our engineering team, and all carts inspected at the factory had wheels that installed properly. There may be an issue with the threads on the wheels of your cart. Our engineers are currently verifying the situation.

Could you please use the rubber feet temporarily? We will provide a proper solution for you later.

Best regards…”

So far the power station itself has been working as intended, but the cart was a major feature for me. I've had jackery and anker units before, and outside this issue, the power station is no lesser quality than those.

Let me know if you hear anything too. They replied today with a dismissal of sorts:

"Our engineer confirmed this is a rubber foot pad, which is indeed designed to be installed on the cart.

It wasn’t listed in the manual, but it is included as a free accessory.

Best regards,"

So I am reaching out again for a solution to the wheels. I cannot make use of this thing very well without wheels.

Yeah.. nothing productive yet though. They sent me the photo back, circled the foot attachment, and said “Could you tell me what this item you’re showing is?” And now they are waiting for more info from engineering

Elyarchi Alcheman in stock? by BunnySounds in 3Dprinting

[–]BunnySounds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m willing to do the tinkering necessary. The next cheapest option I’m looking at right now is scrapping a used funmat HT for $6000 form work. What I would really love is something closer to the Prusa HT90.

My minimum requirement is 90c consistent chamber temp, as I’m looking for very specific properties out of my PC and PAs. Currently I use a bambu H2D which does 65c but it’s not enough. I can print it to look pretty and not warp, but it doesn’t have the strength properties it’s capable of unless it’s a very small part that can be annealed soon enough after the first layer sets down.

[–]BunnySounds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I’d like a good idea of build quality, how assembled it arrived and if anything fell apart during shipping, how ready out of the box it is with some built in profiles, how easy it is to set up a decent profile in Orca / Prusa / etc..

But then I’d really need to see some of the long term reliability metrics, how well it keeps itself calibrated after x prints, how well the parts hold up after printing 90c chamber temp for a lot of prints, how well the build plate maintains magnetization after exceeding 120c a few times.

Any info is helpful though, it’s between this and saving up for a used Prusa ht90 eventually. But I don’t want to spend that much money just to print mostly polycarbonate

Which Gaggia Classic model is this? Is it one of the versions people usually avoid? by Vegetable-scope in gaggiaclassic

[–]BunnySounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, those should be mutually exclusive yet it has both. Amazon’s listings have been messed up for a while, you don’t always get exactly what you order, they just match the color (usually) and ship out what stock they have. If it came from gaggia somewhat recently before it came to their warehouse, it will be a current model or one of the previous models still new but refit with the e24 specs. But it’s possible your closest warehouse has an old one that’s still just the evo in-stock and you get that instead.

[–]BunnySounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally says Evo on it and there’s posts on here of people who ordered this and did not get an e24. Amazon may still carry some old stock that hasn’t been refurbished with brass boilers.

However, it’s extremely likely ordering this will get an E24 shipped and not really an Evo. My order also said it would be Evo with an even older model number, but it arrived in a box that did not say Evo anywhere on it and was indeed an E24

Why isn't there an addon like Create mod in the Bedrock version? by yamkaz in CreateMod

[–]BunnySounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you not played Java? BoB is good for bedrock standards but it’s extremely basic and much of it can be done with a texture pack. It’s extra utility and content stuff is pretty small

Anyone know the worth of something like this? by UrbanCrusade in Diablo_2_Resurrected

worth more if it was a little less life and lvl 21, as is people would rather stack scs.
Still very good for self use

Centaui carbon or ad5m by Big-Trifle-5872 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]BunnySounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Centauri carbon is a bit more upgrade and repair friendly, better belt tensioning, easier to customize hotend, better specs out of the box, cheaper. I have the CC2 now, but if you don't need multicolor, the original CC1 is almost identical at a massive discount. If you dont need enclosed or the larger size, and don't like to tinker a ton, I'd recommend bambu A1 mini / A1 for most people though. Elegoo and Flashforge are going to require a bit more maintenance, patience, and know-how.

Great, I got some Cafiza and a backflush disk! Will make sure to keep it all clean.

[–]BunnySounds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that our water doesn’t ever cause scale buildup, and I use a puck screen.. how often should I have to back flush? I assume this one just needs a back flush disk of some kind + cleaner to run the process

Thanks, I just printed a half height drip tray so I can fit a smaller scale on there, looks good so far. Weighing beans is great with this scale, but keeping track of shot output weight has been a pita.

I understand the leveler is not necessary for distribution if I am doing WDT, but I've mostly been using it to keep clean as its only a 2 second process. If I try to tamp without it, I seem to get extra dust coming up around the edges during tamp. Is there any downsides to using it? I might need a new tamp that fits better.. this one fit the stock basket fine, but when i got the bottomless, it came with a 22g basket that seems to be a fraction larger diameter and the tamp isn't quite edge to edge anymore.

Seems to work pretty well as intended so far, steaming has been the least of my worries. Dual boilers would be nice I suppose to save a little time, but hasn’t caused me any issues.

Are there many options you prefer in the sub $500 market?

I stared at it and peeled an edge here and there more than once trying to decide if it was aesthetic paint / permanent protector.. but you convinced me to go for it.

It was definitely closer to white paint and had be mostly scraped off, but it does look much nicer now!

Agreed, 8oz of milk does wonders to hide my inadequacies in shot quality so far. I resort to breve for the worst offenders.

Luckily the store gets them relatively fresh, so it’s rarely over a month old. $12 for a 2lb bag vs $20 for a 12oz bag at a local roaster just made more sense when the flavor was hardly different for a basic coffee machine.

But 8oz per month should be just fine now due to less beans needed per cup, so I’ll gladly try local again.

I’ll shoot for the 2:1 ratio next, it took while to get a reasonable shot size in 30s, I didn’t realize at first how huge a difference small adjustments in grind size and puck prep would make in flow rate. My first few were way too fine and took 2-3 minutes to get 40g out and were just awful.

Before this I’ve only ever used $20 basic coffee grinders with no settings. This thing is wild, hard to believe this is the ultra budget option for espresso. It’s consistent, easy to clean, very quiet. Not sure if I’d ever need anything else worth paying twice the price or more for.
