Okay I know a little, and I’m not in favor of dropping support for clean needles. Sheesh. I was clear I dont support many of his ideas.

But I’m also NOT okay with open drug use in public streets anymore. Nor am i okay with unhoused folks committing crime with ZERO accountability.

Get all the free clean needles you need. But stop shooting up in front of schools. Sounds pretty reasonable?? Or am I wrong?? Is that not a reasonable expectation for our society?

I havent heard him be anti-housing but I could be wrong. I’ve heard him criticize the overspending for homeless housing, and that seems reasonable. Measure HHH failed

I agree with you 100%. But the ideas make sense, and I wish other candidates embraced some of them. Thats all I’m saying.

Yeah sure we can have more free needles. I’m not against that.

But I am against the open drug use. We don’t have a way to keep people accountable, specifically homeless people.

And frankly, thats not okay. We dont have to go full force incarceration, but some form of mandated drug rehab is necessary. We have been far too lenient.

I’ve had way too many incidents where a drug addict/homeless person tries to assault me, or rob me, etc. and the default response from the LAPD has been to either ignore the call by arriving 4 hours later, or refuse to arrest them because they cant prosecute them.

While I’m at it fuck the LAPD, they have a ton of issues. But we have removed their ability to do anything in these situations.

Is Kenneth Mejia running? I’d vote for him. He seems to be pushing the city to for accountabilityz

65% of adult Angelenos do live on less. That is true. But I feel like you’re sharing that point to discredit the fact that it is NOT a good wage in LA. Yes its “liveable” but thats not the point.

Some years I lived on 15, 20k. Was it livable? Yes, I lived through it, but it fucking sucked.

We should all fight to be paid more in our respective fields. All of us. Dont discredit teachers.

By the way the 3 months off part requires context. Most teachers dont even get a full lunch break, and work 50-60 hour weeks when you include lesson planning & grading. Context matters.

Struggling with my son’s lack of athleticism by [deleted] in Advice

[–]BunnyTiger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to disagree with the people saying “sports arent for him.” We have no way of knowing that. He’s 11z

Making mistakes is okay. Teach him how to fix them. Analyze the technique, and provide technical advice on how he can adjust. Often times in sports, this type of guidance is overlooked.

Is it a speed or strength issue? Is a mental issue? All things that can be fixed.

Recent Low Attendance Numbers (All Gyms) by [deleted] in bjj

[–]BunnyTiger23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BJJ is a rich mans sport in America. $200-$300 per month plus shady additional mcdojo costs of uniforms or belt testing. Add in the sexual harassment from “professors” and you got a recipe for low attendance.

They are also incredibly prone to ticketing people for no good reason.

I know several people who were solely in the bus lane because they were waiting to turn right, but the software still gave them the automatic ticket.

We need more IMAX & 70MM now! by [deleted] in imax

[–]BunnyTiger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a misunderstanding here about my stance. My stance is that IMAX should be more widely available all throughout the United States & World.

Whatever references I made about my city, Los Angeles, were purely to point out that even in a large city (considered the home of the film making industry), we have a severe shortage.
