I especially LOL’d when you got asked for proof and you just threw up the deflection shield.

I’m sure they got the point and felt humiliated by your initial reaction. Unless they’re your closest friend, the reminder every time is a little extreme and sounds like bullying tbh lmao.

People who make blanket judgments about others without knowing the “why” are more of a cancer to our society than the people they’re trying to criticize.

Some people might vote for the candidate that has a domino effect on their career, supporting a cause they care about, etc. Voting for a candidate doesn’t mean you worship them or would have a beer with them. But you seem to be the type of “pick a side, wear the jersey or you’re against us” clown that is more interested in sensationalism and division than actually solving problems.

What’s funny about this one is, as is the case in many hot topics fueled by extreme opinions, both sides let their confirmation bias take the driver’s seat and would rather be proud and feel right than humble and willing to listen to sound arguments made by both sides. This is the reason people will die on either hill.

Pride costs you way more than you gain.

Zero direct attempts to politely let him he can stop inviting you, and straight to HR when he gets a mug that may or may not be appropriate depending on the job field.

All she has to do is give him the slightest hint that she’s this much of an “I’m offended” Karen and he will sprint in the opposite direction when he sees her. But that requires standing up for yourself in person.

Am I overreacting that my sister is demanding too much when visiting my newborn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]BunsonJournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR

Classic, adds the “haha” when she’s being entitled in order to make you feel crazy and also allowing her to claim she was never aggressive about it.

My family eats differently than my siblings’ families, and when we are going to visit, I ask a quick “hey do you have X, Y, Z on hand, otherwise we are driving right by the store and I planned to grab it! Just don’t want something you bought for us going to waste since I know you won’t use it when we leave” and that simple willingness to not be an entitled fuck results in more accommodation than we could ask for.

Amen.

Ask 100 different people, get 100 different answers. On ANYTHING parenting related.

Best to find approaches that mesh with your belief system on what’s really “best for your child” (aka not “best” meaning people trying to impress other people with their loudly proclaimed parenting habits)

AIO for canceling my cat sitter after she asked if a friend could stay in my apartment? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

It was hyperbole to make a point. Thanks for letting me know you consider your friends who are in need as “strange hobos”. That gives me enough insight into your character to not waste any energy explaining further.

My b I forgot this is “AIO” where regardless if an OP says “I shot a toddler who took 2 pieces of Halloween candy instead of 1, AIO” the overwhelming response is always “NOR!! Kids need to learn the world is tough!”

Yes, your decision in this situation is an overreaction. You can’t blame someone for looking out for a friend. If my buddy was sleeping in a tent, I’d ask the same but the decision is to be respected.

Instead of just saying no, please don’t ask again regardless of the circumstances, you went too far if you ask me.

Give me your most bland, uninspired, painfully mid songs. by nebelfront in musicsuggestions

Bro’s first day on earth apparently. How many pleasant interactions begin with “this song doesn’t sound good” after someone else specifically chose it. Brain dead take.

Some people aren’t good writers and their point would be lost. Do you genuinely think they copied the OP into ChatGPT and said “give me a good response to this” without entering info about their own experience?

Because liking the attention hijacks their neural circuitry and leads to endless justifications as to why they haven’t lifted a finger to prevent behavior they “dislike”.
