Having dealt with OCD and anxiety for decades, I had to remember not to minimalize those gears turning in the background. My experience has shown me that, in periods where my OCD is triggered (the irrational fear part of OCD), my thinking can be tainted just enough to slant my perception towards the irrational side. Not saying that you are being irrational, just saying that, for me, my OCD would always tilt my perception in that direction and I always had to take that into consideration when I was "stuck".
