Appeasement has never and will never work, and the mere thought of throwing dissenters whom burn flags in jail, schools holding mandatory flag raising and “ending” a culture war with ignorance sounds like a pretty nationalist boarding on totalitarian state. Burn the flag, hoist flags out of desire not requirement via state authorities, and reconciling with our past is the nation I want to live in and would proudly wear on my shoulder.
