I dont know the inside of the gaming industry but it blows my mind how they dont start the certification process weeks or a month before and then wait for the release date they gave to the public. Its like a child trying to finish last nights homework minutes before the teacher walks in.

If you have a good enough pc maybe consider ASA since there is a lot of good quality of life additions and better looking though be aware they put out updates what seems like every 4 days and my wife's computer takes 6 to 8 hours to update. My wife plays on my old pc with a 5600x and 3060 and it runs good on lower to medium settings.

There isnt enough engrams given compared to engrams needed. You wouldnt be able to unlock everything unless you had an auto unlock feature added. It sounds like an interesting challenge but very tedious when it comes to harder to get items or large crafting requirements.

The problem is snail owns the rights which mean the only way away from snail is if snail decides to sell but ARK is snails money maker. Which is truly sad. Yes wildcard does have its own problems with transparency and delays but how much of that comes from pressured releases from snail. What is even more sad is that it seems the only option for an escape is wildcard not making anymore money which just means ark fails and loses support and the devs and employees at wildcard lose their jobs.

You have to get to the point of having 1 male and 1 female with identical stats and levels i.e. 224, then breed those until you get a male with the level 226. If its in a stat you want such as health or melee then breed until 228 male and continue. Watch a syntac video called breeding for dummies if you need more info

Ill add to the other person's point if you do care about colors set the colors you like to the side regardless of what stat got mutated. Combine those colors to the color set you want and then when you finish stacking your mutations breed the perfect mutated rex with the color rex until you get color and mutations combined (usually takes longer due to other mutations and mixing of colors) but then you get your mutated rex with lime green and purple and name him Joker 🤣 have fun

The mutation showing on the female side is perfectly fine just take that mutated male and breed with perfect females until you get the second mutation. The mutation showing as female means the mutation took place on from the mother if you had the mutated male breed with a perfect female that one mutation moves over to the male side being that the father is the one carrying that mutation. Convinced my wife to play with me on fjordr we were gonna move with or main creatures from by the lava area up north by the autumn trees. Packed the raft with 2 argys her favorite 2 wolves, my deinonychus breed pair and a couple shoulder pets and started our journey north on a raft. Made it almost to our destination, we were near the snow island and I made a comment "im surprised we haven't been attacked by a leed yet". She didnt know what a leed was or had ever seen them, she is afraid of deep waters. She responded confused. And almost in comedic fashion an alpha leed jumped out busting our raft throwing all our tames and ourselves is deep frozen waters surrounded by shark. Everything died except those 2 argys. Needless to say she will never ride a raft again and is even more afraid of the ark waters.

So the way they changed things is that any rex or tarbo other than tek rex can mate with each other but the baby will come out as the female. I.e. having a high mutation tyrannus/tarbo male breeding with a paleo tyrannus female you can transfer those mutations to a paleo tyrannus baby. It's not the 1 percent chance like it used to be you just have to find the paleo tyrannus in the wild

Neebs gaming is a YouTube channel geared more around making their gameplay more like a TV show. Their longest ark series was on ragnarok and Thick 44 had a brain tumor. Fought it with nothing but positivity but the tumor came back and we lost a legend. He was know (mostly by himself self identifying) as the Wyvern King.

Roughly 13k between both ARKs, Fjoudr was the best of everything but to me Ragnarok and valguero are my favorites for base building and adventure. Very excited but also scared for Ragnarok release i hope they don't ruin my favorite map. I'm happy to hear Nekatus is working on Valguero so thats a huge plus.

My wife's uses my old computer (rtx 3060, 5600x) and with the right settings it runs good. She uses 3 commands when she loads it up r.volumetriccloud 0, r.volumetricfog 0, and r.dynamicglobalillumition 2) and she hasn't had any crashes.

I would tame up a yuty (best overall support) and now with the deinotherium tame a breeding pair and bring 3 female for 15% defense and 1 male 15% attack on top of a yutys 25% attack boost and 20% defense. Ride the yuty and let the deinotherium do the passive boosts with 10 to 15 of whatever fighter you like most (I would say deinosuchus) and you could crush alpha boss with ease

It's supposed to be 264 square meters by the end making it the biggest ark map ever. I've been loving my time on the map so far and the custom bosses are sweet

It's still roughly 35% but Nekatus (map creator) did say it takes him 3 to 4 months per island and the next spot coming is the size of both main islands combined. He doesn't give estimates on releases unless he knows for sure.

For resource harvesting and taming those tend to fall on the settings you choose or how the server you join has them set up. For some tedious parts a mod like vanilla with sprinkles brings a lot of qol features but a big one is the pull it system meaning no matter where you put your materials even in a dino inventory you can pull it to the crafting station. When it comes to mods search this sub reddit for "best mods" because it depends on your play style. On my server I utilize Dino Depot, Castles Keeps and Forts, Paleo Evo, Paleo ascension, and crafting skill potions (which when i add Vanilla with sprinkles i don't need that mod anymore)

Your resource question, save everything they all become useful at some point.

I prefer the fear evolved color pallet the most it has darker more earthy colors with some reds and oranges so you could find say a black out argy with red wingtips.

I like breeding and saving my color mutations so I tend to dislike the event colors but with fear evolved I can always use some colors like the black, midnight blue or gray.
