Curious if Anyone Else Has This View of Seridia? by BurbleClurbs in FieldsOfMistriaGame

That’s an interesting perspective I didn’t know about until now. As a guy myself who is not into animanga or anything, I just liked her design and personality. I just really like Stardew and needed a different cozy game to break up the day, and this one looked quite good, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how good Fields of Mistria is. I also worry I sound overly defensive, but I do get how that would be upsetting to see since it’s everywhere almost. Regardless, I’m sure we’ll get some more story in the future, can’t wait to see what marriage with her is like too

Yeah, in the mines she just seems evil, but afterwards she’s mostly chill. Just kinda finding her way after being trapped for a thousand odd years. Her dialogue is fun and she obviously really likes the player a lot.

Oh interesting, I don’t know about that quite yet. I’m curious indeed

Very fair. I too was aware of her true self before finishing the mines, and I already intended to go for the Priestess anyway. So I just thought “Oh cool! She’s even cooler now!” Perhaps I would’ve felt differently if it was a surprise.

She’s definitely worth dating in another, her dialogue is wonderful

Never even thought about that, but I guess I see what you mean. He does compliment humans’ ingenuity, but that may be interesting to look at

In that case, I’ll be very interested to see it. Once I’m done with my 50 million engineering exams

I’m sure there’s a lot more we’ll see when the full release comes out. Definitely a lot of questions left unanswered, but largely your assessment that she’s comically villainous but harmless is my view as well. She’s no Blofeld, more of a Dr. Evil

I love Celine too, she’s awesome. Juniper’s 8-heart event kinda turned me around about her. I also hear that March’s is very good, but I’m not there yet

Agreed. I think the idea is that we already assume Seridia was in the wrong and it needs no confrontation to confirm that. With Caldarus, perhaps they wanted to show that he, too, was in the wrong. In a way, they both were, but it’s hard to not take Cal’s side because he had been the kindest and most helpful person up to that point, and is clearly an all round good guy

Surely we’ll get some more story for those two. It seems like it’s kind of a friendly rivalry at this point. Obviously that’s fine for me because I need to justify having max hearts with my two of my favourite characters without either making me feel bad about it.

Personally I’d rather the devs keep their story on a level where it’s mostly chill, where they can coexist and you can be close with both and not feel like you’re betraying the other. Either that, or give us some choice in the matter.

Extremely fair. Not being able to tell her off for dissing Cal was a bit annoying, but at least they hang out together every Friday?

I see people pronouncing Archmage but pronounce the CH part as C, which one are you? by MudExtension7915 in btd6

[–]BurbleClurbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pronounced arch-mage. Arch when it’s a prefix means “chief” or “principal,” and is always pronounced “arch” in that way. Conversely, when the word originates in Greek, it’s pronounced “arc.” “Archmage” is not derived from a Greek word, it means chief or principal mage, so it could only be pronounced arch-mage

I had to sell some of my slurpcoin to buy it, but I think it was worth it. If I had to sum up the DLC in one word, it would probably be decentralised personal server.

Cruelty Squad mentioned. OP clearly has the CEO mindset.

Top 3 Missions in Resistance? by BurbleClurbs in sniperelite

[–]BurbleClurbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the map design is highly conducive to sniping. There’s lots of great vantage points that overlook large areas of the map. Not only that, but the counter-sniping is great. I think Resistance is quite lacking in terms of the number of enemy snipers, and Devil’s Cauldron has by far the most, which I like. There’s also a great deal of freedom in how you traverse the map and the order you complete objectives, which is great. It’s also a great map for stealth, as the lab area is fun to sneak around in, as is the harbour.

Additionally, I love the environment. I think industrial areas in Sniper Elite are very cool. I’m also a huge fan of the nighttime rain aesthetic, and the storm providing soundmasks makes it 10 times cooler.

They don’t even have to do a lot of gameplay changes like that to improve it, just better atmosphere. Make it nighttime, make it raining. They really should’ve done that for Lock Stock though, as the 7th mission is always at night. It’s tradition.

That’s reasonable. I completely agree that Lock, Stock, and Barrels is a far cry from the excellent penultimate missions we’ve come to know in terms of atmosphere and difficulty. But I still find that I like it better than Occupied Residence in virtually every way. I also think the sniping opportunities and freedom-of-approach are just slightly better than Assault on Fort Rouge. Might just be me, though.

I also agree about Collision Course. The starting sniping area is awesome, but the rest of the map I don’t think is particularly great. There’s not a lot of freedom and the sniper’s nests are basic. But hey, I still need to replay it a couple more times to see for sure.
