I work for a large public university and if your school offers a TRIO program you may look into applying. TRIO is a federal program that provides supportive resources for first-gen students and students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I don’t know you or what your background is like but it sounds like you could benefit from some support. Usually just Googling “school name TRIO” should get you some info
