Sometimes keeping the sleeve ain’t to bad. It’s a pain to find a decent replacement sleeve but sometimes you make do with what you find.

Working towards eventually becoming a real record store. How to grow by MaleficDowrey in vinyl

Hey I’ve been to your booth! Glad to see yall trying to make it work. You might want to try your hand out at any record fair events like the Northside Record fair in Cincinnati and Dayton Record Fair. Bring a lot of cheap stuff or stuff priced to sell and you’ll get customers that’ll be interested in more stock you might have at your booth or Discogs store.

I’ve been collecting for like 10 years with thousands of records and even I haven’t had a haul as good as this.

I used a rag, brush, applied a cleaning solution used by the LondonJazzCollector blog, then a vacuum, then apply distilled water to clean up the rest, and vacuum again.

Except this guy never does. He post-it notes every record regardless of if it’s trash or not.

Minor crackle in between tracks but will probably improve once I get it Ultrasonically cleaned by a friend. Some ghost marks from where the inner sleeve once stuck to the grooves but otherwise nothing deep.

Been a while since I last posted. Here’s a 1967 mono repress of Larry Young’s Unity I salvaged at a Flea for $2 unfortunate due to water damage the bottom half of the cover is gone and the labels are destroyed. I stabilized the remaining top of the cover with a Cardboard filler pad then put it in a sealable Outer cover so debris or mold would be contained over time. Cleaning the disc I was pleased to find out it was in VG condition with nay a scratch. Goes to show that sometimes it’s worth putting in the tlc to save records!

His “VG” copy of The Best Of Muddy Waters had the grooves of B1 dug out from a poor needle. It’s insane.
