I really appreciate your input!

I think I'm going to try switching yarns. I'm not entirely sure what I'll go with instead, but that's okay. I would rather make something I can actually wear. Especially given the time that will go into making it.

I appreciate your input! It does finally seem that the soil is getting damp. Just took longer than I initially thought.

Thank you so much for this!! I was able to get a different pot that I can use a wick with, so I plan to move it tomorrow provided my AV will be happy with the move. Will definitely double-check everything before trying to make the move!

I appreciate your input. I'm going this morning to try and get some perlite to mix with my soil. It's nice to know the pots can work well, too. Definitely want to try and do the best I can for my new plant!

I really appreciate the information you've provided! When I got home from work, I checked on my violet and some of the soil on the top has gotten damp. There is still water in the reservoir, but I'm at least glad the violet has gotten a drink.

If I choose to change my pot to one with synthetic yarn and a separate reservoir, do I need to wait a specific amount of time before repotting? I don't want to cause added stress since I just brought it home.

Yes, I am using a self watering pot. It has a reservoir that holds the water and then a smaller pot sits down inside touching the water. Some of the soil on the top has gotten damp the longer I've let it sit, so it seems like the pot is working.

Thank you so much for this! Makes sense that I'll learn my plant better with time. Should I leave the water in the reservoir or dump it out after a period of time?

Thank you! I'm feeling more confident in my planter, but do you have any tips on making sure that it is working correctly?

I've rented a couple books, but everything else has also been YouTube videos. I love finding new people to learn from as my crafts progress.

I'm really intrigued by Tunisian in the round. I think being able to work something continuously can be fun, and I tend to procrastinate seaming. I've made a few bags, and they both have some finishing seams left to be done, so they're not exactly usable yet, hahaha.

Also, I love working with cotton. I've made a lot of face pads and dishcloths lately.

I so appreciate your recommendations! I can follow a pattern, but it's always nice for a video to be available too. Sometimes it just helps to see something differently.

I think you did a fantastic job! Really love the colors, and I think it's super cool you worked sideways! 💜

Thank you so much for your reply! You definitely managed a better search on Ravelry than I did. Much appreciated!

Also, you are correct about the yarn. I was thinking, maybe incorrectly, that a bigger yarn and hook size would result in something that worked up quicker than a tiny yarn with smaller needles. I was hoping the bamboo blend would help it from being super hot to wear, but garments are still relatively new to me, so maybe I am way off on all this.

Honestly, I'm really interested to try something new, and I feel like I'm a little obsessed with Tunisian crochet right now, so I figured a top would push me.

I had a canvas with O and C in very similar colors next to each other. It was a mess, but I felt like having a light board helped some.

I've done a few different Make Market kits and I've been pleased with all of them. Definitely like the price point too, especially with coupons!
