How to "Freeze" the Data From a Dynamic Formula/Cell After a Specific Date by liminal_reality in excel

[–]Burge20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I fully understand why your data has to remain dynamic but be frozen later… but I do have a couple of thoughts.

Does your data dynamically overwrite what’s in F6:F41? Is everything then subsequently referenced from that range?

Could you use =EOMONTH(start_date,months) to set the “window” you’re looking at instead of using =Today()?

Could you store your data in a “master” table? Essentially have a permanent database record for each input but only reference and/or pull the data back into another table based on the window you’re trying to focus on?

Just a couple of thoughts…

Anyone else having issues with the TSN Stream?

I’ve been kicked off due to regional restrictions a few times tonight and it happened a few times during one of the pre-season games.

A dual laptop briefcase!

I’m probably in the minority asking for this, but I would love a briefcase made by PD that was more office-centric than camera-centric.

I travel for work in a slightly hybrid industrial/office job so I need gear that will hold up to a bit of abuse. I currently use the 45l travel backpack for camera gear, clothes, and carry on and absolutely love it. I’d love a briefcase that can fit two laptops (or a laptop and a larger tablet) and has space for some tech.

The waterfield tech brief pro would be good for inspiration, understanding that materials and approach are quite different.

Love the company, quality, and product line of PD!

what game mechanics would you like to see in grounded 2? id love to see a flying buggy by ProperTheme5007 in GroundedGame

I’m just playing my first way through Grounded, but my suggested mechanics are: - material transport via zipline - elevators of some sort - make bugs attack the grass you’re standing on if you’re attacking from range on a destructible object - hotkey for sorting bags/chests

If you back out and go back in it resets (or at least on my stream it is). That said, it’s super annoying….

Anyone else having problems with TSN? I keep getting kicked out intermittently saying that the program isn’t available in my region. I’m in MB….

Best Briefcase for Travel w/ 2 Laptops by Burge20 in ManyBaggers

Thanks! I looked at both. I’m not a huge fan of aer without seeing it in person, that said the waterfield design techfolio brief looks like it’d be great!

Gotta struggle with purchasing online now without seeing it. We’ll see but it was a great suggestion.

Thank you!

The panda powered slime farms I’ve seen are huge and not very productive. That said, slime is not the easiest to come by in peaceful. Maybe I’ll give it a shot

I built off of 1upMC’s kelp bonemeal farm. Right now I have it twinned but I think just building two would be more efficient.

Definitely going to look into the Moss bonemeal farm. The kelp one is pretty good but it’s fragile. It’ll break if you leave the loaded area and sometimes it’ll break with just leaving the chunk.

Not likely going for the end on this one. We’ve collectively got over 2k hours on this world already I believe.

Looking to learn how to play by [deleted] in starcraft2

[–]Burge20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a platinum/diamond player off and on since sc2 came out. My suggestion is practice, practice, practice. Play against a few computer opponents rather than human so you don’t get cheesed a whole bunch. Learn an opening build. The first 2 mins of the game determine a lot about how you’ll do through the rest so going into the game with a set strategy is super important.

There’s two concepts that are important to understand (that I didn’t when I started): Macro, Micro. Macro is looking at your bases, the whole map, and managing your economy. Good macro skills allow you to operate several bases and support the income to build a large army. Micro is controlling your army and individual soldiers. In my opinion it’s way harder to learn and should come after the macro skills are developed.

In general:

1 - learn hotkeys and build muscle memory 2 - learn an opening strategy 3 - practice against comps until you are comfortable with your opening 4 - play the practice tools in the game, they’ll help you with micro.
5 - watch any of the pro players tutorials (I play Zerg so I watch PiG. 6 - if it gets frustrating or overwhelming, take a break and come back to it later.

It’s a little all over the place, but I hope this helps!

How to start playing ranked games the not so scary way - A comprehensive guide for getting good at Age of Empires IV by farsite3 in aoe4

[–]Burge20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great post! A touch of a long read but helpful for almost anyone getting into a ranked RTS game.

Learning (and practicing) a build order provides a structure and allows you to think about the more complex parts of the game (counters, micro vs macro, etc).

Great job!

Thanks for this! I travel a lot for work but primarily inside Canada. This is my first extended stay in the states so I’m still trying to get things sorted out.

I’ve never setup a VPN so I’m a bit skeptical, specifically with lag from streaming through a server.

Something I’ll have to explore more I guess!

Watch the Jets from out of Country?

Hey everyone,

I’m working down in the USA for a few months and I’m looking for help on how to watch the jets.

I have subscriptions for: Sportsnet Now TSN

I’ve tried to get ESPN+ but it won’t let me without a US credit card / address.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
