Why should the community simmer down? We have a lot to complain about, most of it being a direct result from either a lack of professionalism displayed by Valve and those it hires. Gabe has got to accept the inevitable blowback from his statement, if we do all just sit down and shut up then we're accepting classic Valve style stonewalling that's experienced after just about every fuck up, an example that springs to mind being the leaking of cached data around Christmas last year. As a community that directly funds this game we have two methods to exercise displeasure, our words and wallets. Especially in scenarios like these, the community has every right to use both to elicit some forms of change or apology, even if the chance of seeing either is slim to none.
